Chapter 20 - Mess

Evie's POV
I couldn't stop crying. Mal kept hugging me, but they could only do so much. Mal went to get me some water because I could barely swallow. She brought me the water and I chugged the entire thing.
"Thanks.." I said and looked away from Mal. She grabbed my hands, but I pulled them away.
"Umm Mal.. Why do you still love me? Ben is perfect, he is just lonely.. You can go back with him and be happy instead of dealing with my mess." I said and Mal looked at me in shock.
"Evie, are you crazy?! I love you, and when I broke up with Ben I committed myself to helping you, no matter what." she was crying now. "E, I can't keave you, Ben is fake.. But this.. We are real." she said grabbing my hands again.
"Yeah, but Mal.. Your still conf-" I started but she kissed me to stop me.
"E, I am not confused on who I love. I know for a fact its you, I wouldn't leave you for the world." she said, I smiled.

Mal's POV
I knew Evie wanted me to be happy, but I was happy. I couldn't be with Ben he just makes me miserable.
"Mal.. Seriously though.. I-I cant let you date me.." she said her smile fading. "I love you.. I do.. But.. Ben needs you, and I don't want to be a weight tying you down.." she said and stood up. She walked over to the door and opened it.
"Please... Go..." she was crying and so was I. Unknowingly I walked out the door and it shut behind me. I slid down the door crying.
"Evie.. why.. Why would you want to leave me.." I said the sat up in bed screaming. It was just a dream.. Evie was looking at me concerned.
"M, you alright?" she asked and I shook my head. She motioned me over. I walked over to her bed and sat down, shaking uncontrollably. Evie wrapped her arms around me and kissed my cheek.
"It's okay, Mal.. It was only a dream.." she said, but I was positive it was more then a dream.
"E.. I think it might have been a vision.. Of the future..." I said and she frowned.
"Well what was it of? You were screaming pretty bad.." I frowned and choked on my words.. I didnt have the heart to tell her. Instead I pulled her into a hug. She hugged me tightly back.
