Chapter 30 - Don't Leave, I Love You..

Evie's POV
"Evie, Mal's heart stopped while we were trying to do the surgery, we got it qorking again.. But there is no way it will last, she woke up and had been requesting to see you.. Evie she is dying." the doctor said to me and I instantly ran to Mal's room. I saw her laying on the bed, her eyes were closed so i walked over and pulled up a chair next to her bed. I took Mal's hand and she woke up.
"Hey E.." she whispered wealky. I felt my eyes fill with tears, this was my fault.
"Mal, I'm sorry.." I said and Mal gave a weak laugh.
"Evie, this decision was my decision.. I was the one who did this, because your back would have bled out.. I couldn't do that to you." Mal said and I cried some more. She looked at me and her eyes grew sad.
"Evie.. I can't come back this time..." Mal said and I almost choked trying to say
"But Mal.. I'll miss you." I said and she closed her eyes. The heart monitor flatlined. The next thing I knew doctors were pushing me out of her room and bringing in the defibrillator. I stood outside her room, I couldn't believe she was gone. I slowly sat down and pulled my legs into my chest, the rested my head on my knees. I started to cry and I heard someone sit next to me. They wrapped their arms around me and I knew it was Carlos. I hugged him back and he helped me up.
"Come on E.. You need to sleep." he said and I looked back at Mal's door. Then followed him back to the lobby.

A few days later
They hadn't been able to save Mal, so I have been in my room depressed and laying on my bed. I felt sick but didn't care. I had officially shut the world out.

Carlos's POV
I knocked on Evie's door, but she didn't answer. I opened it and saw her still laying in bed and facing the wall. She had Mal's old jacket on and wasn't moving.
"Hey E.. Could you please drink this for me?" I asked bringing her some water. She shook her head and I sat down on the bed.
"Okay, you need to get up." I said pulling her out of bed. She sat up and looked at me with the most depressing look on her face.
"Fine." she said and took the water. She drabk it in onwme quick qulp and stood up. I walked with her fora little then Jane called me.
"Hey E, I need to go.. You gonna be okay?" I asked and she nodded. I walked off and Evie headed for the woods.
