Taylor's Pov

I looked around and I couldn't see summer. She let go of my hand and ran away so fast I couldn't catch her.

"Summer!" I called out through the very busy airport. I started to panic. What if she got kidnapped? I thought. But just as I was about to ask someone if they had seen a little girl with a stuffed giraffe I heard a distant cry. "Summer?!"

"Mommy!" I walked quickly towards my baby's cries until I could see her clearly. She was sitting on top of her suitcase hiding her face with her hands. I kneeled down beside her and moved her hands away from her face. She wrapped her arms around my neck.

"I'm sorry for running away." She said after she had calmed down.

"It's ok, but you have to promise me you'll never go somewhere without telling me. Ok?" I asked. She nodded.

"Now let's go see grandma and grandpa!" She jumped up and picked up her suitcase. I put on my shades and we caught a shuttle to a car rental place. After we got a car, I put summers car seat in and started driving.

"Mommy, do you think they'll like me?" She asked.

"Summer, they already love you."

"I know, but they've never met me in person."

"Just don't worry about it, ok?"

"Ok." She said. I could see her growing more and more uncomfortable as we got closer to my parents house. I didn't know why she's getting so nervous, she's talked to them like a hundred times before. I parked in the driveway and let summer jump out of the car. I ring the doorbell a few times until my mom comes and opens it.

"Oh my god!" My mom says and bends down to hug summer. She giggles and hugs her back.

"Hi, grandma!" Summer said. Any nervousness she had before was gone. But there a strange look in her eyes as if she was somewhere else. I had noticed that something has been a bit off about her ever since we left the airport. I figured she was probably just a little nervous and let it go. My mom hugged me and kissed my cheek. "Come in, come in. I made cookies." She said, taking Summer's hand and waking inside. Where Austin and my dad were sitting on the couch. They both hugged me and summer. I took her backpack off and set it on the couch. I looked over to see summer sitting at the table, holding a cookie. Except, she hadn't taken a bite. Instead she was staring at the wall across from the table. Her eyes moving slowly back and forth.

"Summer, aren't you going to say thank you?" I asked. She flinched a little.

"Oh, Thank you for the cookie, but I'm not hungry." She said, setting the cookie back on the plate. Now I knew something had to be wrong. Summer love anything sweet, especially ice cream and cookies.

"Are you ok?" I asked. She thought about it for a second, another thing I saw as strange.

"No."

"What's wrong?" She looked very confused.

"Do you not see him?" She asked.

"See who?"

"The purple man." She said like it was obvious. "He's scary." Ok something is very, very wrong.

"Mom, she's hallucinating. We need to take her to the hospital." I said, putting summer on my hip and grabbing the car keys.

"We'll come." Austin said. So me, Austin, my mom and dad, and summer got into the car and drove to the hospital. I sat in the back with Summer, who was now screaming and kicking. I tried rubbing her back to calm her down but she slapped my hand away.

"Don't touch me!" She shrieked. I was taken aback, Summer has always been such a happy little girl. I don't think she's ever had an actual tantrum before. This wasn't the Summer I knew, in a matter of seconds her personality changed completely. I carried her inside and people looked over at the scene she was causing. I told the man at the front desk everything that had happened and he sent us into a room. While we were waiting for a doctor I held her close to me and rocked her slowly. Her screams turned into quiet sobs. "He'll get you mommy, you don't understand" she mumbled. Just then a doctor came in.

"After what I've heard about your daughters behavior and ruled out all other mental illnesses, I am sorry to say your daughter is showing most signs of paranoid schizophrenia."
