We had just left Danny's parents house I'm happy and amazed that everything went well. Danny family was a true definition of a happy home. I would love to come home to that everyday. I had tons of unread messages from Chris.
:I'm with her now... I don't know what to say.
: hey!
: bruh I got your number for a reason...
: you playing now.I shot him a text.
: just talk to her stop texting me while your right in front of her she probably don't like when you are always on your phone in front of her.I know I don't it makes me suspicious especially when Danny leaves out the blue on school days. I didn't know why Chris would ask me out of all people, he should have at least asked Ya'ria because I honestly don't know what he could say to spark up a conversation and I don't even know the girl to give him information on what she likes...
" stressing yourself out over nothing I told you they was going to love you especially my mom." Danny said, ripping me away from my thoughts, smiling at me awhile rubbing my cheek with his thumb.
" you probably was scared when you met my mom." I said rolling my eyes.
I could see Danny shaking his head from the side of my eye
" naw..."" mhm." I hummed.
My phone vibrated while in my hands once again.
: you suppose to be helping me I'm not in front of her no more.
: what you need help with then Chris?
I texted him back already regretting giving him my number I should have made up a lie saying my phone was off. But on the bright side its for a good cause." where are we going?" I asked.
" meet the crew at YOLO plaza." He said.
The whole while I was texting Chris. Danny finally asked me what I was doing on my phone... I probably was on it so much trying to help Chris. I was scared to answer his question but I wanted to be honest and I didn't want him to find out on his own that I had been texting Chris... when clearly they don't see eye to eye.
I chewed on my bottom lip already knowing what I would say next wouldn't be good.
" helping Chris with something." I tried to keep Chris secret safe with me that way him and his boys wouldn't make fun of him Monday or maybe tonight if he's at YOLO plaza.
" helping Chris with what." Danny asked the question I was hoping he wouldn't.
I sighed.
" Danny I don't ask you what your doing on your phone." I courageously said.
" okay but I'm not texting girls on my phone period... whether its in front of you or not." He said I could feel his eyes on me every few seconds.
" I'm just helping Chris out its nothing major or 'important for you to know'" I quoted what he had said to me earlier.
" so you sayin' its not important for me to know what you and Chris is talking about when you've been on your phone for the past 15 minutes none stop?" he questioned. He was probably getting angry from the bass that was now heard in his voice.
" you want to know that bad huh?" I asked finally looking at him. " Chris wanted advice on this girl he's seeing." I said feeling bad that I had just told something that he didn't want me to tell
Danny lips went into thin lines clear that he didn't believe me. " ya' lying like fuck." he finally said stopping at a red light.
I flashed my phone in front of his face before he could ask to see it. " its amazing how I could tell you something but you can't tell me nothing."
