This one is kind of sad. And the video, it was so sweet yet it broke my heart! I literally cried...BTW this one is not edited sorry, but I'm kind of lazy! Enjoy.

There she was, laying in the white hospital gown. Oxygen tubes, allowing her to breathe with difficulty but breathe none the less. Any color that once adorned her face was gone, and I wasn't so sure it would come back.

The love of my life was weeks, days, minutes from reaching that place in the sky that we all hope to reach one day.

Am I  selfish?

Selfish for wanting to have her with me a little longer.

I remember exactly how the doctor worded it, "You should begin contacting any close relatives." He tried to save me from the pain of hearing him say that she didn't have much time left with me on this earth.

But no matter how you say it, it means the same thing. It doesn't matter how you say it, but the fact that you're saying it.

I always hoped I'd be the first one to go. I guess destiny had a different plan in mind.

The beeping sound of the heart monitor played in background as I remembered every single moment we shared together. Our first hello, our first hug, first kiss. Everything.

Every single possible moment we shared played through my mind on repeat.

I took her cold hand in my own, as I sat next to her bed. I wanted so badly to feel her squeeze my hand back but no matter how much I hoped she never would.

I had learned to love that heart monitor.

It let me know that she was still alive. Even though everyone would tell me she couldn't hear me I would still speak to her.

"Today Theo came by to pay a visit. Do you remember? He told me he loved you, and knew that you were strong enough to get through this." tears brimmed my eyes, threatening to fall down my warm cheeks.

"I have hope that you'll come to. Every morning I wake up, hoping this is all a dream. I wake up hoping to be back home with you in my arms. But I know that there are very slim chances of that happening. We both knew this day would come, I just didn't realize we were so close. These past sixty years have been the best years of my life." The hot liquid stung as it slid down my face.

"I find myself looking back at our wedding picture every day. Its a little torn but I still keep it in my wallet. I will never take it out. "  Her heart beat was getting slower

"I cant lie to you. I'm scared. I'm scared of not having you with me. I can see that you struggle to breathe and the fact that I can't do anything about it, is eating me alive."

"I have no idea what I'm going to do without you. Please," My sobs were uncontrollable. "Please, wake up." I spoke in between breaths.

The heart monitor was now  one steady sound, instead of constant beeps. Without much thought I pressed the red button. Calling for nurse as loud as my hoarse voice would allow me to.

I grabbed my cane, stepping out into the hallway, frantically looking for someone to come help.

"I need a doctor. Please!" Just then a woman in blue came running towards me.

"Sir. What's wrong?"

"My wife—" that was all I could blurt out. The whirl of emotions keeping me from speaking any more.

She went to the phone and called for doctors.

It was all too much. My knees failed me and all I remember was everything turning pitch black.

.

"Mr. Horan? Can you hear me? Open your eyes if you can." I heard a young woman speak

As I opened my eyes I was met with a young brunette in blue. The same one that came to help I think.

"Good. Now do you remember anything."

"My wife. Where's my wife?" She was all I could think of right now. I tried sitting up but the nurse placed a hand on my chest.

"Sir. You have to rest." The nurse ignored my question. It only meant one thing, she was gone.

The tears streamed down my face. My heart clenched in agony.

"(YN), I love you." I screamed. Wanting this pain to go away so badly.
