Uriah POV

I walk back in silence towards Dauntless. Everyone seems to make a path for me. Since I probably look like a coward. But I could care less. I'll take anyone down easily.

I turn the corner in the hall and run into Tobias.

"Hey Uriah. Did you get bored staying at Erudite with the fake rumor Tris spread?" he says rather smugly at first but then spots her.

"Move." I glower.

He steps aside. "Is she okay? That looks like one bad wound..."

"No she's dead." I scowl

He is silent for a minute. "I'm really sorry."

"No you aren't." I say. "You have Tris you have no idea how it feels to lose Marlene and then Chris. Two in a row of people I love."

"Actually I do." He says

"What do you mean?" I respond with no interest honestly.

"I have lost her once... And I don't have Tris anymore. I told her I was done with her lies and her attraction for attention on how Jeanine and Eric were back." He says rather flatly.

"Where is she now?" I say

"Should be patrolling here. But she isn't. Probably back at Erudite actually" He rolls his eyes.

Oh shoot I probably should have stayed there. Or found her. She probably knows what's up.

"You idiot" I snap, "That girl is still alive fighting for this city. Okay so she's lied to you before but it's true this time."

"Prove it." He says unconvinced."She's lied more times than not to me."

"How do you think Christina died? She didn't just die. She got shot by a clone army of Jeanine and Erics"

He is silent. "I thought-"

"You thought Tris was lying?! No... Tris is actually trying to save this city. To keep the peace. To be dauntless and fulfill her duty, even if it means sacrificing her life. Like Christina. Have you not realized these past three years that she always does that?" I stick up for her. For some reason I'm angry at Tobias too.

"I know my fiancé better-" he raises his voice

"No you don't. She's not even your fiancé anymore. I like her too. I love her like a sister." I snarl with tears in my eyes. I can't believe my friend would refuse to act. "If you honestly have no feelings for her anymore and let her die, consider our friendship over."

Ok mad side of Uriah just completely unleashed. But I don't care. I storm outside. Uriah you need to make a plan. Either bury Christina, or take her to find Tris.

Plan two sounds better. I head back inside and find a large satchel they used for people who jumped in the Chasm, to help with carrying.

LINEBREAK

When I head back, Tobias is still there, eating a hamburger. Stupid stupid. Get a move on man. Or not.

He comes over to me, "Is Tris still alive?"

"Why do you care?" I sit down at a different table and put together my hamburger.

"Because I still do care about her I guess. And she's given me a billion second chances." He says

"You broke up with her though." I munch on my food.

"Yeah, but we all make mistakes, and we need to fix them. And hell I just made a huge one." He sighs, humbling down.
