Tris POV
I sit close to Tobias on the train ride back. My mind is like a whirlpool.
What is going to happen to us. I won't remember anything, and he won't either.
A spasm runs down my spine and I jolt uncontrollably in anger.
He puts a hand on my shoulder, "You okay?"
"Yea." I lie.
"Look I don't know what Jeanine injected us with, but I'll fight it, we will fight it. I may be genetically damaged according to Bureau shit, but I can still fight serums. Decently I mean." He says. "You don't have to worry about me. You will be the first to snap out of it and get us all out"
Its not just you I'm worried about. It's myself...
"Okay." I mumble.
"Forever remember?" He whispers and kisses my cheek.
I nod.
I wish he was right, but no.
That was the last night I got to speak with him. Well while we still knew everything.
LINEBREAK
We get back to Dauntless, and it's an appalling sight.
Many corpses lay about. Jeanine and Eric have striked too. Smart of them not to linger here, since we actually know how to fight.
Too bad they didn't think hard enough.
I scan the crowd of remaining Dauntless. There are still quite a few at least 50 or so. But they look like they're in a haze. Distant.
Wonder what they're thinking about.
Nausea pours through my body suddenly. I really should get to bed. I turn around to bid Tobias good night. But he's gone.
Oh well I could care less. I stumble to my room, and collapse right when my head hits the pillow.
The war is over. Thats all that's important. I'll pull through.
Hopefully
Sorry this is a short chapter. It's a filler.
