Welcome to part three guys

this is the part where I will take some requests of one shot scenea as the story progresses. An answer to one of the review questions, no the characters will not go through initiation again.

Tris POV

The next couple days I completely ignored Tobias. I spent my time locked in my room, alone in the training room, or outside the Dauntless compounds. I never bothered eating much, and when I did, I took extra food to store in my room.

I was getting stronger and recovering well, but my inner anger towards Caleb especially exists. What did he know about my insides. Why couldn't I know. He fooled me.

I woke early that morning to train with punching bags

I know I have already trained through these routines before, but my short term break really struck hard. I felt out of shape and weaker with my attacks.

I trained hard, punching the bag in front of me with fury, imagining it was Caleb's face.

"Goddamn you." I curse loudly and growl as I punch again.

"Goddamn who?" A voice asks. I turn, not realizing that Tobias had entered the training you.

"Not you, so be thankful." I say before focusing punches again.

"You're health and attitude is coming along I see." Tobias says.

"Indeed." I say

"Is it easier?" He asks

This has been the first time we've spoken in a couple weeks.

"It would help if you specified it." I stop and face him.

"It as in training, living, all that stuff?" He asks.

"No big difference." I say and turn back to punching.

"Tris your stance is off. You must keep one foot slightly ahead of the other and try to strike with as much of your entire body as possible." He helps me awkwardly.

"Im not a beginner. In case you couldnt notice." I say

He sighs, "Look I've been worried about you. How about you come back to training? You miss out."

"No thank you I'm fine." I say quietly.

"I know you're still mad Tris." He says.

"Good you should know." I say and start packing my stuff up.

"Please. You're better off now. Why can't you move on..." He insists.

"You've given me no choice." I scowl as I clean up the knives from the knife target station.

"Please, I want to help." He urges, "I know I'm not the more kind person, but I've never been so. I let you help me through my recovery. Let me help yours."

I sigh, "Whatever."

LINEBREAK

For the most part. I thought I didn't need anyone to recover. But Tobias persisted and I later gave consent.

He had continuously urged me to return to Uriah's planned sessions, finally agreeing to one.

I went with him since I was the new one now. He lead me in and I immediately received many greetings from the members. The club had gained more members. Whether it was now called a club or not.

"Yay marshmallows back!" Christina and the older members whooped. That nickname was not the best. But I waved it off. I didn't need to make an effort in socializing. It was never on my list either.

Tobias eyes them warily, "They can be a pain."

"I'm aware." I say.

"Rules have changed a bit. We no longer tolerate cowardice." Tobias says. "The rule was enforced a couple weeks ago as we keep gaining more and more unskillful people who mess more than train."

"What do you mean isn't tolerated?" I ask.

"If you secede or act scared, one of the oldest members shall decide a punishment. Of which you are not on the list."

That is probably exactly what you did to my child as you guys are doing to this group. Punishing or killing innocents who can't express feelings...

But I remain quiet.

He is the leader now, he shows leads me to the weapons, fights and stretches with me. He is the only one who bothers to talk with me. Marshmallow spreads fast soon enough and I hear everyone whispering my legendary coward move a while back. Whatever, it doesn't sway me.

At one point a thought crossed my mind, "What is the point of this? Why am I even here."

But I promised Tobias, the least I can do to remain my pride is stay.

We finally get to the last activity or competition of the day.

"How about fighting." Christina decides and Uriah nods. They are still together I assume.

"How about you and me first. Tris." Christina says.

She and Uriah are nice. But something has changed. There is more tension in the room than ever. I can tell Chris holds a lot of pride in her leadership spot and the others gather round.

Murmurs of the word marshmallow go around. Tobias smirks at them, I tune the voices out.

"Go get em babe." Uriah says.

I step into the ring. Christina must have not taken note that I had been already back in training strong and healthy for a few weeks.

"Don't go easy on each other." Uriah states rules, "Cowardice, or seceding can be punished, and today, it's Tobias chucking knives at you're pretty little faces." He adds on a menacing tone

"One who is truly brave will acknowledge the strength of others. One who is human shows mercy."

The crowd surrounding me goes silent. Perhaps in disgust from my supposed secession in the past.

"Well let's see what you got first." He offers.

There is conflict going on within Uriah. He tried to control and run a training class in a very one sided way, but he believes it's the only method of control. I feel he is good and kind, as is Chris. They are merely adapting to the behavior of those in our faction who require discipline.

I turn to Chris. She pops her knuckles. I take a deep breath.

"You can strike first if you'd like." I offer.

She nods, but mouths a quick sorry

Christina lunges and delivers a swift punch to midair, I ducked and speedily moved behind her to deliver a back blow with my elbow.

She turns and sneaks a kick in, but I only stagger a foot backward, barely hurt compared to the training I do with Tobias

I advance, and deliver a devastating punch to her gut followed by a knee and tabletopping her over my foot so she lays on her back and my hand on her neck.

I have her beat, she knows I do. She waits for me to probably punch her unconscious, and I see Uriah bite his lip out of the corner of my eye.

Instead I lift my head up to smirk at Uriah and then help her up.

"Im done. I acknowledge her weaknesses and brave character to face me. If you wish to enforce order for hereby saving your girlfriend a black eye by all means go ahead." I say loud and clear after helping Christina up.

Uriah says nothing, and so I take my leave casually from the training room with many pairs of eyes boring through my should as I walk out.
