Tris POV

The aggressors haven't striked yet

Tobias, Uriah and I made a game plan that day, you know. It's always good to have a plan.

"I say we just wipe them all out so it's guaranteed we will get Jeanine and Eric too!" Uriah says.

"Yes that's totally feasible for us. Us three against like their 500 zillion and more." I scowl.

"Well what do you think we should do Ms. Moody?"

"We need reinforcements, let's go back to Dauntless and get some more soldiers. Erudite can't keep resurrecting us. One day we will all fail and the place will be defenseless." I say making my point.

He is silent in thought, but looks irritated. "Why aren't you saying anything?" Uriah asks Tobias.

"Well let's just say I just got my girlfriend and bestfriend back, so I'm not gonna mess things up..." He grins playfully.

"Look after we get reinforcements we can go with your wipeout plan. Just make it more secure and likely to succeed." I say.

"That sounds good it combines both plans..." Tobias says.

"Of course you side with her." Uriah scowls. "Fine but who will go get reinforcements? We can't all go"

All three of us are silent for a bit

I start, "I can-" but Uriah interrupts

"I'll go. I have a feeling you two lovebirds have some catching up to do, and I'm not so sure I would like to see all of it.." He says smugly, "I'll be back in by tonight or tomorrow."

Tobias and I shrug. "Okay."

"Whatever you want third wheeler." I grin and he rolls his eyes.

LINEBREAK

So Tobias and I sit together cuddling in the dark alley next to the trash cans. Great place, I know, with all the odor and pests, but it will suffice.

We caught up with each other. He went first.

Pretty boring life story. He helped with initiation finalizing, and then worked solo 99% of the time. The 1% was talking to Uriah during the meals.

Then it's my turn. I explain how I've been paying visits to Erudite to see Caleb and talk about future plans. How I've been fighting off the pregnancy symptoms. Not really interesting either, but it's pressured my body pretty hard with the little one.

When I finish he is quiet. "God Tris you are so Dauntless."

"Uh thanks?" I grin. "I mean not really it's just me seeing Caleb while being pregnant. The only 'dauntless' part about it was talking about the heinous plans of Jeanine and Eric. Which is harder on you mentally than physically. It's nothing."

He smiles, "Tris."

"Hmm?" I reply as he pulls me onto his lap.

"I love it when you talk unsympathetic towards yourself to me."

Well not really I mean it really was nothing.. "Thanks" is all I say though.

"You can seriously relax a bit though. I mean you're already the most intimidating female in our faction." He chuckles.

"Oh really?" I say and he nods, "Are you intimidated of me?"

"Very much so." He nods

I turn so I'm facing towards him. He caresses my belly, "What should we name it?"

"Hmm I never thought about that yet." I reply. One I actually didn't, and two I wasn't expecting it to survive this entire battle.

"I think we should name it Natalie or Andrew. You know to side with your family more."

"What about yours?" I inquire

"Are you kidding my parents suck." He scoffs

"They made you..." I counter.

"Whatever we will talk about this later." He pushes the topic aside. I know I hit a soft spot there

We sit in silence for a bit. He speaks up again, "Look I don't know if I am saying this too early or out of timing but I really want this. And I am so sorry for everything in the past."

"Well yea it surely wasn't all your fault. We both take blame." I say

"But I don't want anymore conflicts. No more trust issues. No more lies. No more of the past memories. Starting fresh and forever. Okay? Cause I really want this."

"Forever." I whisper.

"Forever." He nods. "We will win this war and have a future. Then live together happily forever."

"Forever." I say again.

He chuckles, "Perhaps forever shall be our always"

"Alright." I laugh, "You have developed a way with your words Tobias."

"It kinda rubbed off being around a divergent smartass." He says and I scoff. Who me? Yea sure I'm a badass but pshh okay then.

We kiss in a comfortable position between trash cans, and all dissolves around me

Just us two.

A strange thought of names pops into my head during midkiss

Natalie Evelyn Prior.

Andrew Marcus Eaton.

Those don't sound half bad. And his side of family is utilized too. Masculine name takes more of his family, and feminine name takes more of mine. Beauty all around.

I place the thoughts in the back of my head. I'm glad Uriah didn't stay. This memory wouldn't have been nearly as cherishable with that goofball.

"So do you want to keep the ring for safekeeping until this fight is over. Whenever that will be?" I ask.

"It doesn't matter." he replies, "I'm just scared I'll lose it and have to repurchase one."

"That won't be necessary." I grin, "I'll keep it for foreverkeeping."

He slips it back on my finger, grinning, "See that's your way with words. Humorous and enjoyable."

We've finally recovered on the roller coaster that supposedly only went down... Catching up with each other was surely a success, but also a make out session. Well partly

But hey what can we say. Uriah even called tabs on it and left... So why wouldn't we?
