Crossing My Fingers

~MONDAY~

"Babe, come on, you gotta get up and get ready for school, which includes eating." Zack shakes me awake. I groan and roll over. "Go away dad!" I yell playfully, pushing him away. "Okay, you asked for it...." he warns, then pounces on me and start tickling me all over, making me laugh loudly and squirm around. "Zack, stop!" I laugh. He pauses for a second then leans towards my ear and whispers, "If I stop, you might be a little late to school.." My eyes open the rest of the way and I shoot straight up, pushing him off. "Not right now, later, I promise. Now I need to go get ready. I love you, forever and always." I smile and lean over to kiss him. I get up and select my clothes for today, a black and purple striped top, my "Merrick 09" hoodie, blue distressed jeans, and my black boots. I do my makeup and hair quickly, then run downstairs and eat some fruit. That's the new thing, since I blacked out in school on Friday, I am required to eat for every meal, although I get to pick what I eat. Jesse joins me soon and then the guys come down. Zack walks over to the fridge and searches the shelves, then whips around. "Do we have any whipped cream?" he asks, looking directly at me. "It should be in there." Jack answers. "Its not in there." His answer comes muffled as his head is back in the fridge. "I, uh, I kinda sprayed the rest of it in my mouth last night..." I say. He pops his head out of the fridge again and looks at me with a big smile on his face. "That's my girl!!" he says proudly. I grin. "So why did you want whipped cream anyways?" Rian asks. "So I could eat it, duh." he replies. "Mhm, that's  why you wanted it." Rian smirks, and I blush when I realize what he is implying. "Oh yes Rian, I was going to cover Skai in whipped cream and slowly lick it off." Zack replies. "Sexual." Jesse says as Alex walks in. "Hey now, don't need to know your sex life Zack, and that's what you were last night babe." Alex smirks and Jesse's eyes go wide and flash with something. Not anger, but... Guilt? She catches me looking at her and I raise an eyebrow as I notice that she is so very obviously panicking. "Hey, Jess, I think I lost one of my camera lenses, will you come help me find it?" I ask, trying to get her alone. "Uh, yeah, sure.." she answers. We both stand up and walk out of the kitchen. I wait until we are upstairs before I spin around and cross my arms over my chest. "Yes?" she asks, cocking an eyebrow. "I saw the panic and guilt in your eyes when Alex said that you were sexual last night, even though he was obviously joking around. So why did you look panicky and guilty? What did you do?" I ask. She opens her mouth to start talking, but then closes it again. "No, tell me Jesse. You tell me everything and vice versa. I'm not going to tell anybody if that's what you are worried about, no matter how bad your secret is." I tell her, leaning back against the wall and sliding down to sit. She takes a deep breath and slides down next to me. "You can tell me.." I reassure her. "I know.." she replies quietly, followed by another deep breath. "Okay.. So, you remember Scott from school, right...?" she asks. "Mhm, continue." I answer. "Well, when I was pissed Friday, after I socked Alex in the jaw and ran away, I ran into Scott.." Another deep breath. "He didn't realize it was me at first and asked if I wanted to go back to his house with him, then he realized it was me and asked again.." she tells me quietly. "What did you say?" I ask, knowing exactly where this is going. "I said yes.. I fucked Scott... Then, after..." she stops. "No, tell me." I say, not unkindly. "After... I stabbed him in the chest until my hand was sore... Then I burned the bed and dragged him out behind his house to his tool shed and hung him by a rope from the ceiling of it..." she finishes. "Oh." is all I can manage to say. "Skai, I cheated on Alex... Then killed the guy I fucked." Jesse says. "I know... Don't worry, I won't tell.. After all, this isn't the biggest secret you have confided to me." I laugh quietly, trying to make light of the situation. Jesse laughs also and stands up, pulling me with her. "What time is it?" she asks. I pull out my phone and turn it on. "7:00 on the dot." I reply, then walk to my room and grab my bag and camera. She follows me. "I think Alex wanted to talk to us about something. We better get downstairs before he starts yelling." I grin, rushing to the stairs and taking them two at a time, hearing Jesse run down them behind me. We run into the kitchen and collapse into chairs. "Found the lens." I smile, holding up my camera bag. "Just in time too, Alex was about to lose his shit." Jack leans over and whispers in my ear. I stifle my laughter and Alex glares at Jack and I. I just smile at him. He rolls his eyes and starts talking. "Okay, you guys are gonna need some weapons today. Skai, you first." he says as he sets a large black bag on the table and unzips it. Alex pulls out a small gold pistol and a cartridge of bullets. He slides them across the table to me and I stand up and slide the pistol into the waistband of my jeans. "You can put the bullet box in your pocket, nobody will suspect its bullets unless you tell them." Rian informs me. I smile gratefully and slide them into my pocket, then sit back down. "Jesse, your turn." Alex says as he pulls her weapons out of the bag. A black pair of brass knuckles and a black knife. She takes them and puts the brass knuckles in her pocket and the knife into the waistband of her pants, along her thigh. She sits back down and finishes her food. "Okay you guys, you know the plan, right?" Alex asks. We both nod. "Yup." I say, popping the p. "Okay then, you ready to leave? Skai, you ate right?" he asks. I nod. "I'm taking my motorcycle today by the way." Jesse announces, standing up. "Okay, how about you Skai?" Alex asks. "The Ferrari." I smile, standing up also. "Okay, here's your backpacks, time to go or you'll be late." Jack stand sup and hands us each our bags. "See you when you get home baby, and I promise, no surprises today." Zack smiles at me, then pecks me on the lips and hands me my earpiece. "Don't take these out at all today girls, okay? We need to hear everything since we can't see anything." Alex instructs. "Okay." Jesse replies as I nod. Alex hands her her earpiece and she slides it in. "I love you, and I'll see you when you get home." he says to Jesse. "I love you too, and I'll see you then." she replies, slings her backpack over her shoulder and walks out. "You ready?" Zack asks, looking at me. "As I'll ever be." I reply with a smile. "Good, I love you." he tells me and kisses me. "I love you too, now I have to go so I'm not late." I smile at him and wave bye to all of the guys. I walk out the door and into the garage and get in the Ferrari, waiting for Jesse to leave first so I can follow her. She gives me the thumbs up and starts driving. I start up the car, igniting the engine with a large roar that makes me grin and back out onto the road, then drive down the road, following Jesse. Hopefully today goes okay.. Crossing my fingers....
