"Do I really have to go in? I mean, like, what if Caden is in there? What if ALEX is in there?! Never mind, I don't want to do this Jeremiah! Don't make me do this! If you really care about me, you won't make me do this!!" I beg Jeremiah, grabbing ahold of his shirt with both fists and pulling him close to my face. We stare at each other for a few seconds, trying to calm our breathing. "Addison, you got this. It's okay..." he whispers to me, taking hold of my chin softly and tilting our mouths to fit together in a kiss. I pull away after a few seconds, take one long look at him, throw open the door, and start running towards the station. "Addison, wait come back! I'm sorry!" he calls after me. I stop and turn around abruptly, turning back towards the car. I walk back over slowly and slide into the car after opening the door. "I'm sor-" I cut Jeremiah off by crashing my lips against his. After we pull away from each other, I look out the windshield and start talking. "Thank you, Jeremiah.. You showed me who I truly am and for that I am eternally grateful. But, I think I need to be apart from you for a while.. I need to figure the rest of me out and I need to be alone to do that.. I need to be able to be free to be myself.. So, thank you for everything, you are an amazing friend and I love you, and I'm so sorry.. Maybe we'll find each other again someday.." At this point I turn to look at him, at the tears welling up in his eyes and I feel my heart break. "You don't have to do this you know.." he tells me quietly. "But I do.. I need to figure myself out.. Maybe, if fate allows it, we might find each other again someday.. But for now.. I have to be alone, I'm going to be cutting almost all ties with my past and starting fresh.. I'm sorry this had to happen.. I love you, you know.." I say the last part quietly. He nods. "I love you, too Addison..." he tells me quietly. I look up and into his eyes. "I have something to admit before I go.. My real name isn't Addison.. It's Skailyr.. And Caden's real name is Jesse.. I'm sorry we lied to you but we had to or we would be killed.. It's hard to explain... I'm so sorry about everything.. But my real name doesn't matter, I'll probably be changing it. Anyways, I need to go now.. Goodbye Jeremiah, don't wait for me please.. Goodbye, for now..." I say quietly, pushing the door back open and walking away before the tears start. I hear a car engine start and then the car pulls out of the parking lot, taking my best friend with it. Did I really just tell my best friend to leave me alone..? What the fuck did I just do?

"Okay, Miss Pierce, can you identify the man you accused of the murder out of any of these men?" Officer Anderson asked me. I scan them and start shaking when I see Alex in the lineup and raise a finger to point at him. "Okay, thank you. I believe we asked you all of the questions that we could so you are free to go." she tells me. I nod and turn to walk away, slowing down when I hear the door to where Alex was open. I hear the definitive sound of metal kissing metal as they put the handcuffs on him and lead him out. I glance over my shoulder at him and catch his eye. He narrows his eyes at me and starts screaming at the top of his lungs at me. "YOU FUCKING WHORE! IT WAS YOU, WASN'T IT?! YOU BITCH! KILL YOURSELF AND DO THE WORLD A GODDAMN FUCKING FAVOR YOU CUNT! I FUCKING HATE YOU SKAILYR LARKIN PIERCE!!" he screams at me, struggling to get out of the cops' grip before they can get him away from me. "The feeling is mutual, you fucking asshole." I say calmly, then turn on my heel and walk out. Once I get outside, I sink down on the curb. About 10 or 15 minutes later, I stand up so I can walk home, but stop when I see someone oddly familiar exit the building. A girl with flame red hair, the same girl I saw at the carnival. What the fuck is Jesse doing here? I didn't turn her in. I stop thinking about it and turn to start walking so I could get away from her, but stop when my back suddenly gets hit by something large, knocking me to the ground, and being followed by a loud, echoey, booming noise, which could only mean one thing: an explosion.
