Steal

It was two weeks later, Sunday, 12:00 am on the dot. I leaned against the wall as I heard footsteps walk toward the doors, I peaked my head out of the doorway seeing Zack giving me a thumbs up. I quickly walked out of the room and started walking down the hallway while Rian was in the office turning the recording off on the security camera's and keeping watch outside. Jack was in the van keeping radars all around the building as Alex, Skai, Zack and I sneaked around the building.  I heard footsteps walk toward where I was, I quickly stopped and leaned against a wall as the footsteps increased closer. "Is anyone walking toward the main hallway?" I whispered, into the walkie talkie "No." Skai, whispered back. "Nadda." Alex, answered. "Behind you." Zack whispered, in my ear almost making me jump. "I thought you said everyone left, Rian!" Alex whisper shouts. "I must of missed him." Rian says. I reached into my pocket and grabbed a pocket mirror, I put my arm up and angled it to see the person walking down the hallway. I looked closer at the person seeing it was one of Mr. Brooks body guards walking toward us. I slipped the mirror back into my pocket and grabbed the talkie. "Alex." I whispered, letting him know he had to move. I moved my back flat against the wall just as the body guard walked toward us, the man saw us and was ready to pull out his gun when a bullet entered the side of his head sending him to the ground dead with blood splatters on the ground. "That could of been quicker." I tell Alex in the talkie. "I know, I know." He replied. I peaked my head out around the corner seeing it was clear and walked out while I singled Zack to go the opposite way. "Jesse head to the room closes to you and quickly."  Rian whispered. I listened to what he said and took off in a jog to the closes door but their wasn't any room close, I heard footsteps behind me approaching fastly. "Rian what the fuck!" I whispered shout. "They were hiding in places with no cameras." he whispered, apologizing.  I moved my legs faster going into a run as I looked for a door when I finally found one, I slid to a stop and opened the door and slid in, quietly closing the door behind me. "He's heading towards the room you're in, hide!" Rian shouts. I looked around and seen a ceiling vent opened, I climbed onto the table using the chair than lifted myself into the vent and crawled in a ways as the door opened.  I grabbed the video camera that Jack handed me out of my pocket and turned it on, I filmed the man walk into view in front of the desk with a yellow package in his hands, he set the paper down onto the desk and looked around. "It's for Scott... It's for your own good... Get revenge.." the man said, to himself. His deep raspy voice echoed through the room, he must smoke cause his voice is raspy. He stayed in the same spot for a minute than moved his hand toward his face and sniffed, he must be crying. He turned around slowly and walked out of the room, I shut off the camera and slid it back in my belt and waited for the door to close when I jumped down onto the desk. I crouched on top of the desk and grabbed the envelope, I carefully ripped the seal of the envelope and reached inside feeling paper. I dumped the envelope onto my hand, hundred dollar bills slid out with a rubber band tied around the bills. I set the envelope down and counted the money. 1,000 dollars were in my hand. That man gave 1,000 dollars to Mr. Brooks to assassinate the murder who killed his son. That murder was me. Brooks doesn't do the job he just hires hitman to kill them while he sits on a large pile of money. I felt a smile tug on my face as I stashed the money into my pocket, I grabbed the envelope and grabbed the lighter that was hooked to my belt and set it on fire so there was no evidence. I watched the envelope turn into ash, I got off the desk and walked toward the door and opened it, I walked out into the clear hallway as I heard a bullet shell clattered onto the ground than the gun click as it got refilled with bullets.  I stepped out and looked up at the rafter seeing Alex laying on his stomach with a silent sniper. He looked down and gave a slight wave, I waved back. I heard footsteps walking toward me, I turned my head seeing another one of Mr. Brooks men. The man spotted me and stopped, he turned around and quickly walked away. I quickly left the spot I stood at and chased after the man through the hallway's when he walked into a room. I slowed my pace until I came to a complete stop. I walked into the room as the doors slammed behind me and the lights flicked on, my eyes landed on the guy I seen in the room where I stole the money. "I knew you would be here." he said, in his raspy voice. The clicks of guns echoed through the room as every man in there pointed their guns at me. I should of known this was a trap, God fucking dammit! But I knew Skai and the guys could hear what was going on from the earpiece in my ear so I know I had back up when I needed it. I looked around, observing each man carefully. They all held their guns weirdly, the guns weren't out straight but cocked and the last time I did that the bullet got jammed and these men seem skilled enough to know how to hold a gun so that means they weren't loaded at all. My eyes landed on the man who spoke before seeing a guy behind him with a rifle the only guy with a loaded gun. "What do you want from me?" I asked. "First I want the money you stole and second I want you on your knees cause you're under arrest." he tells me. I see no badges on these guys what so ever, I slid my hand backwards pretending I was grabbing the money when I grabbed the smoke bomb. I pulled the trigger and threw it as smoked filled the air a loud click of a gun was heard knowing the rifle man shot his gun, I felt the bullet rip into my stomach. I fell to my knees just as the doors busted opened behind me, with my back up.
