Gally: You'd had a tough day at work. Being a slicer was by no means an easy job on an average day, but today you'd had to slaughter a cow, and those things were big. By the time you were done, you just wanted to curl up in your hammock and go to sleep. But the look in the eyes of the boys you saw when you left the Slaughterhouse told you something was wrong. The doors had closed, but one of the runners hadn't made it back. His name was Aiden, and he was a good friend of yours. You were heartbroken when Newt broke the news to you, and couldn't bring yourself to eat dinner. Instead you resided by the maze doors, hoping and praying that by some miracle they would open in the morning to find a very guilty boy standing alive and well on the other side. It was near midnight when you felt a hand upon your shoulder, and looked up to see the Keeper of the Builders leaning over you. He sat down and wrapped his arm around your shoulder, holding you as you cried into his chest. He speak a word, but his actions said everything you needed in that moment. He was there for you.

Minho: You'd been injured while running the maze, and had to make your way back to the glade early

Minho: You'd been injured while running the maze, and had to make your way back to the glade early. Luckily you hadn't reached your furthest point of the run, but it was still a long way to limp back on a swollen ankle. You could see the sun getting lower in the sky, and predicted there was only about 20 minutes to go until the maze doors closed. When Minho arrived back and heard you were still out there, he was distraught, pacing the entrance to the maze. There were numerous times he'd have to be pulled back and stopped from entering the maze again to find you. When you finally rounded the last corner with five minutes to spare, he couldn't wait any longer, shoving the others aside and sprinting into the maze to carry you the last fifty or so metres. Once you were both safely back within the glade, he set you down, pulling you into him and holding your head under his chin. You breathed a sigh of relief, knowing that with his arms around you, you were finally safe.

Newt: You'd been really sick for a while, and the med-jacks had forbidden any other glader from coming anywhere near you, just in case it was contagious

Newt: You'd been really sick for a while, and the med-jacks had forbidden any other glader from coming anywhere near you, just in case it was contagious. But by the time you had just about lost your mind to the loneliness, you began to feel better. In a few days, you'd regained some of your energy, and the med-jacks decided you could see the others again. It seemed like seconds after they'd sent for Newt that he burst through the door, frantically searching for you in the room. When his gaze settled on yours from where you sat in the bed, he rushed towards you, pulling you into a tight embrace and refusing to let you go, even when you raised the idea that you might still be contagious.

Thomas: That night in the maze had shaken Thomas up more than he led on, and later that day he broke down, telling you all about how horrible it had been and how scared he'd felt. The most you could do was reassure him that he'd done all the right things, and how he'd saved Alby. When none of this worked, you pulled him into your arms and the two of you just sat there, holding each other as if your contact could somehow help you find an answer to the same question you'd all asked since arriving in this crazy place:

Why?
