On the way home Taehyung was lost in his own thoughts. He had to think of what he was going to do to save the boy. He was too deep in his thoughts he even forgot he wasn't alone in the house; as usual, he entered without saying anything and as he was taking off his shoes, he nearly jumped to the roof when Jungkook suddenly appeared in the little hall with a big grin on his face. "Welcome back," he said cheerfully.
Taehyung felt this new feeling - something he hadn't felt in so long. All the years he's been living alone since he was sixteen years old, he just felt lonely and isolated. He always felt loneliness, but this time, he felt love from another person and he didn't feel alone anymore. It was such a happy feeling it brought the biggest - most real - smile on Taehyung's face. "I'm home," he grinned.
Jungkook was speechless from such a smile he hadn't seen on the psychologist before. He hadn't seen him this happy but seeing that smile affected his as well.
Jungkook removed the space between them and gave the elder a sweet hug. Although it was a bit awkward since it was the first time they hugged without making the other less sad and rather just happy by the other's company, they both enjoyed it. They even both kept the hug last longer to prevent the other to witness their slight blush on their cheeks.
When Taehyung had finished getting undressed, he went straight to the kitchen to start with dinner. Jungkook obviously had no knowledge of cooking and just helped with whatever he could and kept the elder company whilst cooking.
"Can I ask what you did earlier at work?" Jungkook suddenly asked, which made Taehyung tense up. "You don't really work on weekends, do you?"
Taehyung thought it thoroughly before answering out loud. "I had forgotten some work I had to finish before Monday and I needed to talk with my boss," he half lied. He definitely couldn't tell the boy he told his boss everything. He couldn't even imagine Jungkook's reaction.
"What did you talk about?" he still asked curiously.
Taehyung turned around to look at Jungkook seriously. "Jungkook, I can't tell you that. My work is forbidden for others, you understand that right?" he said in a serious tone.
Jungkook immediately retreated like he was just scolded for doing something bad. "I understand," he whispered nervously. "I'm sorry."
Taehyung smiled his cute eye-smile like he always did; the same smile that made Jungkook's heart flutter slightly. Just slightly. "You don't have to apologise Jungkookie," he giggled as he continued with the cooking.
They started eating after Taehyung was done with the cooking and they chatted with each other in a happy mood. They both enjoyed the other's company very much.
"You want to watch a movie?" Taehyung suggested as they were doing the dishes.
Jungkook glanced up to meet the elder's gaze. "I haven't watched a film since my parents' death," he mumbled.
Taehyung eyes widen. Did I hit a sensitive topic? "Ah, sorry Jungkookie, we don't ha - "
"I'd love to watch a film!" he smiled brightly. He seemed even happier by the thought of watching a movie as it affected his mood when doing the dishes. He even started humming, which brought a smile on Taehyung's face. He went to make the movie ready whilst Jungkook was popping the popcorn Taehyung told him to do and brought the soda from the fridge to the table in the lounge.
