The next morning, Taehyung stirred awake in his bed. He blinked against the bright sunlight shining inside the room, confusion clouding his mind as he tried to piece together the remnants of the previous night. It felt like a blur, the laughter and warmth of their time together fading into a hazy memory. As he shifted in bed, a soft snore caught his attention, and he froze, realising he wasn't alone.

Panic surged through him as he turned to look beside him. Jungkook lay sound asleep, his chest rising and falling gently under the covers. Taehyung's heart raced, and he quickly checked under the duvet, his breath hitching when he discovered his shirt was off, but thankfully, his underwear was still on. A rush of relief washed over him, but the unease remained.

What had happened last night?

He hesitated, glancing at Jungkook. His arm was draped above the duvet, revealing that his own shirt was also missing. Taehyung felt a wave of guilt wash over him. Had they crossed boundaries? He couldn't remember. With trepidation, he tried to stealthily slide out of bed, careful not to wake Jungkook.

Checking the time on his phone, he noted that he still had time before heading to work. Relieved, he hurried to the shower, trying to wash away the remnants of worry clinging to him like a heavy fog. The hot water cascading down his body did little to ease his mind; he found himself replaying fragments of the night, desperately searching for answers, but it was all a jumble.

After showering, he dressed quickly, making his way to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. The silence of the flat felt heavy, and he couldn't shake the guilt that settled in his stomach like a stone. What if they had done something he shouldn't have? He didn't want to take advantage of Jungkook in his fragile state, but the uncertainty gnawed at him.

Sipping his coffee, he ran his fingers through his hair, frustration boiling within him. He cursed himself for being unprofessional, for not maintaining the boundaries he had set. With a heavy heart, he left for work, the worry etched on his face.

The walk to the office was a blur. His mind swirled with thoughts of Jungkook and the fear of what might have transpired. When he finally arrived, he felt like a ghost, drifting through the halls as his thoughts spiralled.

However, as he reached his office, his receptionist, Minji, approached him with a smile. "Good morning, Taehyung! You're in luck, your patient for today had to cancel due to an emergency," she said cheerfully.

Relief flooded through him, a brief respite from the turmoil in his mind. "Oh, that's... good," he replied, trying to mask his concern.

With the pressure lifted, he attempted to focus on paperwork instead, but his thoughts kept drifting back to Jungkook. He wondered if Jungkook remembered anything from last night, if he was okay. The weight of his feelings pressed down on him, and he struggled to concentrate, his mind replaying every interaction they had shared, searching for clues about what had happened.

Despite the mountain of paperwork before him, Taehyung couldn't shake the nagging worry in his chest. He needed to check on Jungkook, to make sure he was alright. But for now, all he could do was wait and hope that whatever boundaries they had crossed hadn't caused any irreparable harm.

The hours in the office dragged on painfully slowly for Taehyung. His mind was a whirlwind of worry and confusion, his thoughts perpetually circling back to Jungkook. He had hoped that the day would pass quickly, but time seemed to stretch endlessly, each tick of the clock reminding him of the uncertainty that loomed over him.

When the clock finally struck closing time, he felt a rush of relief mixed with dread. He headed back to his flat, his heart racing as he imagined what he might find. Would Jungkook remember anything from last night? Had he sensed the shift in their relationship?
