A knock was heard by the door. Taehyung quickly jumped off of his chair and opened it. On the other side, two couples with big smiles plastered on their faces met him, and they all bowed to each other.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, I'm Dr V," Taehyung greeted as he shook both of their hands.
"It's a pleasure to meet you too. I'm Yoo Sukjin, and this is my wife, Yoo Sona," Mr Yoo said whilst he stepped inside after Taehyung had allowed them inside. He gestured them to sit down on the comfortable sofa that was in his corner on the other side of the room, and Taehyung sat down at a single chair over them with a table between them.
"This meeting won't take too long," Taehyung started as he folded the papers he's been holding ever since he received them. The couple glanced at the papers before back at him. "I talked with Jungkook earlier right before I called you. I'd like to ask about the other psychologists he's been to," he said, a small hint of stern in his voice. He had to know more about the sick boy.
"Well, what do you want to know about them?" Mrs Yoo asked.
"I know he's been to six different psychologists and that none were effective. How come? What couldn't they do? Make him talk?" Both of them nodded, which made Taehyung's frown deepen. "Why do you have to make him talk? It's not about him not talking with his mouth, but with his eyes and feelings. Have you tried listening hard enough for reactions, or just action alone?"
"Dr V," Mr Yoo suddenly stood up. "Are you telling us this because of the previously failed psychologists, or us? That we should be better with him?" His eyes weren't as polite anymore, and he looked rather angry.
Taehyung stood up as well, but in a more mannered way and tried to calm the man down. "All I want to know is how he usually communicates," he said calmly, avoiding the question. He glanced over at the wife, as he suspected she usually had more luck than the husband communicating with their foster child. "Do you have any luck?"
She thought for a moment. "No, he hasn't said a word in three years," she whimpered.
Taehyung shook his head. "No, not vocabulary, but otherwise? Like, body language? Pointing at something? Leaving hints behind? Writing? Anything like that?" the dark-brown haired boy became more and more desperate for more specific information, rather than just the ones on the paper. He had to know more things about Jeon Jungkook. More personal information.
The wife thought more, and a relieved smile appeared on her face. "I'm not sure if it's signs or not, but that's for you to judge," she started, and Taehyung already felt excitement inside of his body. "He has his own room and bed, though sometimes it feels different as if some furniture has been moved, though I don't think I've ever noticed what exactly it was. I didn't think too much about it before, but maybe it's something?" she explained in detail, and Taehyung's pen wrote down in a high speed as his hand could handle, not even trying to hide his excitement.
"Yes yes!!" he nearly yelled. "What else?"
The woman smiled warmly. "If we'd find out he had managed to hurt himself in a certain way and see the blood on his arm, it would be in a sort of pattern. I don't know what it is or supposed to look like, but it's always the same," she elaborated as it happened a lot in the past.
"Thank you so much!" Taehyung thanked. "And how is your relationship with him?" They both gave the answer he was suspecting they'd give: good. But not anything specific. "Anything else you'd like to share?" When both of them shook their heads, he nodded and stood up. "Then this meeting is over. I'll follow you out." They both stood up, a bit confused about how anything they said could be any help, but they didn't question it. They headed out as the psychologist had waved them goodbye, and they went back home to their foster son.
