Taehyung glanced around outside behind Jungkook to make sure no one was around. "Quickly, come inside", he muttered whilst dragging the boy inside. "What are you doing here?" he repeated his question.
Jungkook still didn't answer and Taehyung just grabbed his hand softly as he dragged him with him to the lounge and sat down together on the sofa.
"It's okay to tell me Jungkookie," Taehyung reassured him, "it's like our session: it's private and I won't tell anyone. I'm here to listen, remember?"
Honestly Taehyung was deadly tired, but he'd even choose Jungkook over sleep. I've never felt like that before in my entire life, he thought to himself. Jungkook seriously made an impact on him and his feelings. Sometimes he even wondered how he looked at Jungkook. Of course, he looked at him as a patient, but sometimes it was more than that. Jungkook was so young and fragile; everything could just suddenly crush him and Taehyung wanted to do everything to prevent that from happening. He wanted to save Jungkook no matter what, though sometimes he felt as if they're saving each other.
"Can I stay here?" he whispered. More tears fell down his cheeks as he looked up at Taehyung, causing the elder to almost cry himself, but he mentally slapped himself to not do so. I have to be strong for Jungkook.
"Of course you can stay here tonight Jungkookie," Taehyung replied whilst softly pulling him in for a hug. In the hug, Jungkook rested his face on the elder's shoulder and he began to cry harder. As Taehyung held the hug for him to bawl, he let some tears fall down and subtly wiped them away so Jungkook wouldn't know. "But why didn't you call?" the psychologist asked curiously.
Jungkook sniffed a couple of times before answering. "I don't have a cell phone."
Taehyung almost flinched. Hadn't they bought him even that? It's not like could harm himself with a cell phone, he thought. "How about borrowing your foster parents' phone? I'm sure they would've allowed you to call someone, even me, right?"
Jungkook shook his head. "They hate me!" he suddenly yelled, causing Taehyung to jump a little in surprise. "They hate me! They hate me! They hate me!" he kept on yelling whilst letting the tears bawl. "And I hate them! So much! They're horrible people!" he yelled miserably. He sounded so crushed. They couldn't just hurt him physically.
Taehyung forced their hug to break up and he examined Jungkook's face with his hand to see him from different angles. He almost started crying again from seeing the damage on the beautiful male. "Did..." He could barely bring himself to say it out loud - he was definitely getting an answer this time, he was sure of it. "Did they do this to you?"
His voice cracked in the middle of the sentence, but Jungkook still finally answered his question and nodded. "They were angry with me because they know you suspect them."
The guilt flashed over Taehyung like a wave. They beat him because I came over? Because I could see how they treated him? Now Taehyung couldn't hold back his tears. "Be - because of me?" he stuttered. "They...hit you because of me?"
Jungkook stared at him speechless over his tears. Why is he crying over me? He thought to himself.
But he still nodded weakly. "But they've done it ever since my parent's death."
Even after confirming his theory, there was still something that didn't make sense to Taehyung and now was finally the time to get the answers he needed to his questions. "They're the reason for your depression, right? And your parents?"
Jungkook nodded.
"Then why did they send you to see different psychologists? They had confirmed themselves they couldn't open you. Wouldn't they keep it quiet about your behaviour? You could tell anyone how they treat you, just like you told me now."
Jungkook shook his head. It's now or never, he thought. "They...threaten me," he muttered, almost inaudibly. "They threaten me to never speak of them and what they've done. They thought I had told them last time and that's the reason you came to visit."
Even though Jungkook never told it himself, Taehyung could still tell from his body language. He could tell from their relationship and how cold Mr Yoo was towards Jungkook, but his wife? He could never think the innocent smile of hers would hide so many things. But Jungkook never said "he" when speaking of the abusers, he said "they".
"But why do they send you to see a psychologist if they don't want you to open and tell them?" he asked, still confused.
"Because they obviously want to send me away in a mental hospital. They act all caring and stuff to seem like good parents, but they're so horrible. I've been so afraid to tell others because of them," he cried harder.
Taehyung reached to careless his face affectionately. He stared at Jungkook for some reason; he felt a strong desire to protect the poor male and not because it was his job. Actually, his job was to help him. But to save this sweet boy, it was a lifetime desire for Kim Taehyung.
