That weekend Taehyung decided to finally go out and not stay in his apartment like he always did except when he had to go to work. Surprisingly, he did have friends. Or maybe they thought he'd be dead since they hadn't heard from him in months. On Friday evening, Taehyung decided to text for the first time in four months in their group chat and asked if everyone wanted to hang out. All of them dramatically replied jokingly back about him being sick and he should see a psychologist. He only laughed it off and they all decided to meet the next day, as everyone was available.
Taehyung arrived early and was the first one to be at their meeting spot. They decided to meet at their favourite café by the years. After he waited around five minutes, Jung Hoseok, one of Taehyung's closest friends, arrived as well. He greeted Taehyung with a big grin and ruffled him on the hair before he sat down beside him, nudging him with his shoulder and giving his big eye-smile.
"So the lonely wolf finally wants to meet its pack instead of hiding in its cave," he joked, and Taehyung just laughed it off, although he was quite sensitive about that stuff. He didn't particularly like not meeting his friends. He didn't want to constantly say no to them and telling them lies as if he had caught a cold, he had too much work, and so on. He did feel terrible about almost forgetting about them and just living his own stressful and gloomy life. But he missed them terribly, and he desperately wanted to see them again, and today's plan proved it.
"How have you been?" Hoseok asked, breaking the silence. Taehyung just nodded back. "Where have you been?"
Taehyung shrugged. "Been busy with work," Taehyung half lied. It was kind of true, Taehyung was a really busy person, but he would've had time to meet his friends once in a while.
"Is it because you literally work all the time, or because you get so exhausted?" he asked for more.
Taehyung thought for a moment. "Both. I get loads of work, both paper-work and everything else, and it's really taking the energy out of me." Now, that was true. That was partly the reason Taehyung always felt so lonely and depressed and not wanting to meet anyone. He was so tired and he had loads of thoughts of quitting his job, but even if it would make his hair turn gray, he still loved his work and he still wanted to work even if it'd kill him.
"Kim Taehyung!" a certain high-pitched voice screamed as soon as the person entered the café. Taehyung glanced around nervously, not liking the attention the customers were giving him, but the male didn't care. "Why do you make us worry for no reason, you idiot? Finally, you're out," he said as he attacked Taehyung with a hug.
"All right Jimin, you can let go now," Taehyung mumbled as he wouldn't let go.
That was Park Jimin, Taehyung's first and closest best friend. They had been best friends since childhood, ever since first grade. Jimin has always been the happiest person ever since he was a child, and he's always been the mood lifter in the group. He always makes you in a good mood, but he's also the best to talk to if you needed someone; that was exactly what Taehyung needed whilst he grew up.
Taehyung has had many deep conversations with him. When Taehyung studied, he even wanted to quit one time because he was having a hard time, but after he talked to Jimin, he felt much more at ease, and he decided not too, and he was glad he didn't quit. This job was perfect for him.
"So, how have you been mate?" he grinned as he sat on the opposite side and leaned over the table so he'd still be close to Taehyung. "Anything new? Something special happened?"
