This was a request, sorry it is a bit short. I do hope you like it :D

Dinner, how simple of a thing was that? In theory a casual dinner was one of the most common things a person would ever endure in life. On the other hand a casual dinner could also be turned into one of the worst things a person would ever endure.

Why had she agreed to this?

Oh, right, Ginger smiled shyly at the man sitting across the table, because Isaac was classically handsome, charming, and funny.

When he had asked her, a fleeting moment of fear had struck, almost taunting and daring her to decline. Whether she had accepted out of panic or because she had truly wanted to wasn't important now. What was important was that she found a way to just relax and enjoy her evening.

"You never did tell me, Ginger, are you from around here?" Isaac tried to reignite the dulled conversation.

Good, a topic she could easily manage. Hopefully.

"I am." She nodded with her reply.

"It's a nice city." he mused.

"It is a nice place. Have you ever been here before?" Ginger asked, shifting a little uneasily in her seat.

The small pub wasn't too crowded and nobody hardly even noticed the couple by the window, why would they? Yet she felt as though everybody was gawking at them, at her. They were probably staring, pointing and laughing at the nervous wreck she was.

"We've been here a few times." Isaac answered with a slight nod. "But we never get much of a chance to really explore."

"Oh that's a shame." Ginger added with a frown. "You really need to take some time to look around. There are some fantastic little spots here and there."

"Maybe I'll have to come back?" Isaac grinned. "I'd love to take a look around, providing I had the right tour guide."

"There are some great guided tours down..." She paused, catching the laugh and smile from Isaac. "You meant me?" she pointed to herself. "If you ever make it back, I think we can arrange something."

"Good." Isaac raised his beer bottle. Quickly following his actions, Ginger grinned when the dark glass MmmHops bottle clinked against hers. Cliche, but she liked cliche from time to time.

Earlier this morning, when Ginger had left home she hadn't expected her day to turn into this. To think, she had begun to think the best part of her job was the free coffee, until today - it was.

She had been assigned to cover The Walk, the Hanson charity event normally held before shows. Her boss had wanted her to cover the details, as many as possible. Chat with a few fans, ask them the usual Who, What, When, and Why?

Her sandals tucked in her bag, she had walked along the warm concrete, lost in the group of fans who had turned out for the event. On her assignment she had managed to chat with ten or twelve other fans, laughing and enjoying their stories as they walked the mile.

As they moved back toward the venue, where the walk began and ended, Ginger was lost in thought as she followed the group blindly. Almost failing to notice when a man stepped up beside her, commenting on the nice weather Isaac had laughed and quickly apologized for spooking her.

She was cute. No non-sense, to the point, and funny. Isaac liked that. Asking her to dinner just sort of happened. He had been surprised by his actions, when he heard himself ask.

"Ginger." Isaac spoke up, leaning forward to close to small space between them. "Can I ask you something?"

"Of course."

"Why did you agree to come out with me?" He asked, hoping that he hadn't offended her.

The last thing he wanted to do was offend her.

"If I knew, I'd tell you." Ginger felt her cheeks growing red with a blush. "I panicked, I didn't know what else to do. Not that I didn't want to come out with you. I did. I mean, I would have said yes anyway."

"That all sounds perfectly reasonable, to me." Isaac began to laugh. His eyes crinkled a little and his smile growing.

"Really? I'm starting to feel like I may be crazy or something." Ginger confessed with a deer in the headlights look.

"No, you sound fine." Isaac assured her. Clearing his throat, he nervously rubbed his hands across his jeans. "At the risk of sounding crazy, can I take you out again, tomorrow?"
