A little Jai Courtney, for this Christmas Eve.

-----------------------

Snow on Christmas Eve is just another thing that happens, after a life time of living in an area that got way more than it's fair share of snow you don't even bother to notice. For a first timer, snow on Christmas Eve is something magical. Having only ever heard of the cliche Christmas snow fall, it was like something straight out a fairy tale for your boyfriend. Towering next to the large window in the living room, your Australian born boyfriend stood marveling at what was taking place.

"Babe!" he called waving you over when he noticed you standing behind him. "Come look!"

"Jai, it's snow." You can't help but giggle at his child like wonder. His crystal blue eyes were fixated on the weather, not even bothering to look when you stood next to him.

"I have never had snow on Christmas." he happily reminds you. "This is fucking amazing." he lowers his voice. He may have a vocabulary that would make the nastiest sailor blush, but he was careful with who heard what and when. If your grandmother heard him using such language it would embarrass him to death. Nana on the other hand would agree – it was pretty fan-fucking-tastic!

"I keep forgetting that it is beach weather in Sydney." You sigh dreamily. The idea of spending Christmas on the beach, in the sun, enjoying the hot weather sounded amazing. When Jai had suggested you spend Christmas together, you were secretly hoping he'd be taking you to spend it with his family.

Instead, here you were! Nestled in your parent's home surrounded by all the joys that came with your family.

"On Christmas morning we open presents, then head out to play some cricket. I don't think I'll be doing that this year. Unless we can figure out a way to do it in a snow bank." Jai laughs.

You frown and shake your head. "I don't think we can manage cricket, but it isn't entirely far fetched to think we could play some rugby in the snow." you nudge him in the side. "Of course if it keeps snowing, we might just spend the day shoveling." you make a disgusted face and gag at the idea.

Nobody wants to spend Christmas shoveling snow.

"This is a whole mash up of firsts for me." Jai kisses the top of your head and continues to laugh. "I've never had snow on Christmas. I've never played rugby in the snow, and I've never been away from my parents on Christmas day."

"You know, we could have gone to Australia. I wouldn't have argued." You point out with a wink and a cute little smile.

"Yeah, but I don't think you would have liked it." Jai furrowed his brow and shook his head. "It's hot, sticky, plus there are a lot of big snakes there."

"Well, I don't mind hot or sticky." You insist. "Plus, I'd have you to protect me." Leaning in as close as you could get, you casually slip in a dirty comment about handling the ruggedness that Australia has to offer, grinning innocently when Jai coughs in surprise given the nature of the comment.

"You're a very naughty girl." Jai comments, turning a faint shade of embarrassed.

"You have no idea how naughty." You tempt.

"Careful." he bows his head, closing the small gap between you. "Santa doesn't come for naughty girls."

"But I bet you do." You gasp and giggle.

"Wow! I think someone just made the naughty list." Jai tormented, his hand resting on the small of your back. "In fact, I am pretty sure that Santa is just going to skip giving you anything. Good thing I have a present for you."
