Here is some more Liam, because he is an adorable little munchkin.
-----------------------
Every morning, for the last two months, Liam Hemsworth found himself in the same arm chair, in the same small coffee shop. At approximately 7:42AM, Liam would walk into the shop and order his usual large, dark, two sugar and carry it off to the worn red arm chair in the back corner. Casually drinking his coffee, he would sit and steal glances at the door. He knew that within twenty minutes of his arrival, she too would walk through the door.
Sometimes she would be dressed in a rather smart looking outfit, probably on her way to work. Other days, she would come in wearing faded hoodies and comfortable looking sweat pants. It didn't matter what kind of clothing she wore, because the one thing she always had on was the biggest smile. Her smile was the kind that made you melt inside, even when it wasn't directed at you – Liam knew this, because she never actually smiled at him directly. Her eyes would light up and her dimples were simply the cutest thing Liam had ever saw.
The first time he'd saw her was on a chance, after that he'd been showing up every morning just to get a glimpse of her. If the staff knew what he was up to, they never bothered to mention it to him. Maybe they hadn't noticed? No, who was he trying to fool? They noticed, at least he assumed they had. After about a week and a half of his continuous visits the morning staff had learned his name and his order. The moment they saw him enter the shop, someone was busy pouring his coffee.
Tipping the cup to his lips, Liam took another swallow of the dark liquid, the warmth slowly hitting his senses. It was almost time for her to come in, which excited him. He could feel his heart begin to beat a little faster and a few butterflies danced through his stomach. If he told anybody about this, his friends and family would mark him as insane. Label him as a stalker and never let him live this down.
Maybe his behaviour was a tad bit stalkerish, but Liam felt there were still a few boundaries that had to be crossed before that label really came into play. He was hanging out at a coffee shop, a public location where he was a customer, if she happened to come in then so be it. He wasn't following her or showing up at her work, home, or any other place she may go. Besides, he didn't even know her name.
"Oh shit." he muttered, rubbing his hand over his face and shaking his head.
The more he rolled over the idea in his head, stalking is exactly what he was doing. Wasn't it? For someone of his position, one would think Liam would know more about such a subject. Honestly, how would he feel if she were in here waiting to see him?
Logically, if she wasn't causing him any harm or being disrespectful to his space than Liam wouldn't mind. People were allowed to be in public at the same time.
What was the worst that could happen? Clearly, if she felt any threat brought on by the goofy looking man in the arm chair, she would have said something by now. Maybe that would change this morning? A sudden panic ran through Liam, as he thought about how he'd left money behind this morning.
"Can you do something for me?" He'd asked the barista.
"Of course, what is it?" she asked, smiling warmly. Sam was her name, Liam saw her at least four days a week. She wasn't much older than he was and was always friendly.
"I need you to keep this, until that girl comes in. You know, she's really pretty, always smiles. Comes in around 8:05AM." he really hoped Sam understood which girl. "I see her a lot, in here. I wanted to be nice and pay for her order."
Once she had worked out which girl Liam had meant, Sam agreed to hold onto the money and to let her know that the order was paid for. Whether or not she informed the customer that the man in the arm chair paid was up to Sam. Now all Liam had to do was wait. It was about the time his girl...his girl, wow way to get ahead of himself...would be strolling through the doors.
Like clock work, the door opened and an older man walked in but not without holding the door, allowing a younger woman to pass. Thanking the man, she smiled and stepped inside. Hearing the familiar voice of the pretty stranger, Liam's attention perked. Sliding his phone into his pocket, he could catch up on emails later, he surveyed the scene. She was dressed rather casual today, Liam had never known anybody who looked that good in sweats and he was familiar with women who were ranked among the world's sexiest.
From his arm chair in the corner, Liam could hear a smooth laugh, it sounded light and warm. He could hear her voice as she spoke with Sam, it sounded like what he imagined sunshine to sound like – if that wasn't cheesy, then what was?
"For me?" she practically squealed in delight. Sam must have told her that the order was already paid for. "Wow, I don't know what to say."
Liam couldn't quite hear Sam's reply, but he knew she had pointed to him. Oh oh! The girl turned, her eyes, which turned out to be a brilliant green, locked on Liam and she smiled giving him a small nod. Returning the gesture with a tiny wave, Liam felt his heart thump into his chest like a hammer. Finally, she knew he was there! He felt like a love sick school boy, as she collected her drink and turned.
No! No way!
She was walking directly toward him!
Standing up, Liam tried to play it cool as she approached. Her smile was even bigger than he had ever saw it before and her eyes, oh those eyes.
"Hello." she greeted him, her voice confident. "I uh, I wanted to thank you. Sam told me that you paid for me."
Liam only nodded, his voice lost.
"I'm Evelyn." she held out a hand.
"Li...Liam." Liam finally stammered out, shaking her hand.
"Do you mind if I join you?" Evelyn gestured to the blue arm chair beside his.
"Of course, sit." Liam found his voice.
Once Evelyn was seated, like a gentleman, Liam sat as well. Taking a drink of his coffee, he needed something to distract his mind for a few seconds. How was this happening? He didn't get it. She was actually talking to him. After all this time, she had a name – and it was classy, like her. Evelyn. Liam let it play in his mind. It was perfect.
She had walked over, sat down, and didn't run away from him. This was fucking awesome! Liam wanted to jump and squeal, instead he sat quietly staring at his feet. Way to be cool.
"Liam, I have a question." Evelyn spoke, after a sip of her tea.
"Yes?"
"Do you come here, because you like the coffee or for other reasons?" she wasted no time.
Evelyn wasn't a fool. For the last two months, she had saw the man sitting in the same chair, at the same time, every day. Before seeing Liam in the coffee shop for the first time, Evelyn rarely dropped in. Her morning stops, prior, had been maybe once or twice a month. When she had saw him, she had this silly urge to keep showing up to see if he was there.
Each morning, when she walked in and saw him in the corner, her heart would begin to flutter and the butterflies in her tummy went nuts! He was a classic looking sort of handsome, she liked that about him. Evelyn had always wanted to talk to him, but she could never find the courage. Besides, why would he want to talk to her? He was probably busy, sitting there, doing whatever it was he did each morning.
When Sam had told her that he'd paid for her, Evelyn had been floored. It was like fate had walked in and slapped her in the face.
"I...I." Liam sighed and chuckled. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you, or come off as some sort of whack job."
"Do you want to know a secret?" Evelyn leaned in closer, her arm brushing his. Wide eyed, Liam nodded. "I've only been coming in here, to see you too."
