ENJOY, LOVE Y'ALL.
As soon as I woke up I remembered Camila was going to be there soon and I decided to take a quick shower.
I put some sweatpants on and a t-shirt, deciding I wouldn't put any effort since I had to stay home anyway. I only put some makeup on my eyes and my usual red lipstick.
When Gabe woke up I made him breakfast and I helped him get ready to go out with Dinah not much later.
We heard the doorbell and Gabe ran to the door excited by either possibility.
"Who's there?" The kid shouted at the door jumping up and down.
"It's Camz." I heard muffled from the other side of the door, and I smiled at her using her own nickname.
He laughed, unable to contain his joy and opened the door before physically jumping at her neck.
She kissed his face a couple of times before putting him down again.
"Hi." She said, smiling at me.
"Hi," I answered, asking myself why I became so self-conscious every single time we greeted each other or said goodbye.
I prepared the laptop and the notes while Gabe picked up my phone from the table and handed it to Camila.
"Can we dance until Dinah gets here?" Camila nodded and helped him, choosing the songs before starting to sing and dance with the kid all around the room.
"Mooom don't be boring, dance!" I chuckled and got up to reach them to dance.
I grabbed his hand and made him spin around a couple of times, we were all still dancing and without thinking I did the same with Camila that laughed and ended up clinging to my side.
"Am I interrupting a family moment here?" Dinah Jane Hansen.
When did she get in anyway?
I laughed it off as Gabriel ran up to her, she picked him up and went with him to the door to help him put his jacket on.
"We'll be out a few hours to give you two some alone time, to work... or whatever."
Camila seemed comfortable with Dinah's jokes, I, on the other hand, was blushing hard and I tried my best to not let it show.
"Thanks DJ." Camila went to hug them both and I felt a little lost.
"Where does that bond come from?" I asked without thinking.
Dinah waved her phone up and looked at me like I was stupid. "Technology these days is crazy dude." I shook my head.
"Bye Lo!"
"Bye mami, love you!" Gabe waved goodbye to me while they left the apartment and I could hear the key in the fob locking us in.
We settled on the couch and started working, and we were keeping a very good rhythm, up until I noticed Camila was just staring at me.
"What's up?"
She shook her head and spoke softly "Just a thought."
I turned to face her and sat on the couch with my legs crossed and put my elbows on my knees leaning down a bit to rest my head on my hands.
She kept eyeing me and I felt the blood flushing up to my cheeks.
"What thought?" I heard my own low voice.
"I really want to do one thing..." She trailed staring at my mouth; my breath got caught in my throat at the only idea of what she was thinking about.
I had no more power when I felt myself nod at her, she was gentle and that moment went down like it was in slow motion.
