Christmas with my family went extremely well. Camila bonded with everybody, I even caught her more than once exchanging her phone number with my family members. There were so many presents under the tree on Christmas morning it seemed unreal, Gabe probably got too many, but he deserved to be spoiled every once in a while.
There even were a bunch for Camila, the best thing was that she didn't expect them at all, so every time a package with her name on it popped out her genuine amazement was a gift for me to witness.
Apparently everybody loved her already, but I loved her more.
When I gave her a little wrapped box she looked at me with the most beautifully shy smile I'd ever seen on her.
Everybody around us had an expectant look waiting for her to open it.
As soon as she opened it her smile grew wider. She knew exactly what it was, the keys of our apartment, and on the key rings two pictures, one of her with Gabe sleeping on her, cheek to cheek, their faces pressed together. I probably owned too many snaps of them sleeping together, it actually took me time to chose my favorite one.
On the other side a picture of her with me, it was a silly picture. She took it one of the lasts mornings before leaving for my parents', we had just woken up, no make up, no combed hair, just us in bed with lazy smiles, my forehead snuggled up against her cheek and our eyes big looking at the camera, it was just perfect like that.
She was sitting with her legs crossed in front of me on the floor, but after taking a good look at her present she physically jumped on me, making me fall back on my elbows.
I smiled at her reaction but I almost had no time to do so when her mouth instantly connected with mine in a rough kiss. I totally forgot about all the people around us as soon as her tongue touched mine. God, I probably even forgot how to breathe.
In fact, I had to break our kiss when my head started spinning for lack of air.
The only thing I saw was still Camila's perfect face right in front of mine.
"The fact that your son isn't impressed by all that is scaring me Lo." Taylor brought me back to planet Earth. Gabe was in fact inspecting a new toy, but my parents' and siblings' eyes were on us, I quickly caught on my father's amusement and my mother's surprise, Chris was once more shocked and Taylor had a little bit of all.
I smiled and looked back at Camila "it was just a little display of affection guys... and justified by the context" I tried to mumble, still distracted by my girlfriend's mouth, it wasn't the right time.
"I still need to give you my present..." Camila's voice was soft and a little husky as she climbed off of my lap.
"I'm not sure I wanna witness that" Taylor spoke again.
"I do."
"Christopher!"
Camila's present for me was a T-shirt, one from some concert apparently, but that wasn't all, it was signed and with my name handwritten by the artist on it, and the concert still had to happen, I furrowed my eyebrows, that's when Camila took out another envelope with tickets in it.
It was unreal.
"How?" my smile was huge as I kept checking the tickets and the signed shirt.
She shrugged and opened her arms for me to hug her, and I did, I held her tightly, how much she cared about me and grew to know me made my heart swell.
My new shirt passed through everybody's hands, they all were really impressed by the present.
"If that's what you get for being with a girl I'mma think about it" Taylor said, I rolled my eyes at her still in Camila's arms.
