A.N. it's gonna be ok guys.

"Are you guys actually chaperoning for the juniors' ball?"

I turned my head to look at Nathan's disgruntled face, visibly not thrilled at the idea as Daniel looked up from his bowl of cereal to hear my answer.

"Mama and I still have to decide if you guys are going, after last weekend."

They both groaned and I noticed my daughter carefully looking at them before resuming her eating.

"Angie, baby, are you gonna put some more clothes on for school? I don't feel like having to talk to your principal about the dress code again, that man is impossible."

She puffed and pulled her tank top up to cover her bra.

"Not enough sweetie, can you please go and get changed before I drop you guys off?"

She rolled her eyes and got up, but stopped in her tracks suddenly. "If they can't go to the ball, can I still go?" She asked tentatively.

"You're not even a junior, who would you go with?" I asked curiously, her mouth opened and closed before she left the room mumbling: "Nevermind."

"She's not even supposed to be a sophomore." Daniel grumbled as Gabe entered the room yawning.

"Why's Angelica mad?" My first-born asked before going in front of the stoves.

"Is she?" I asked confused, rethinking of my interactions with the sixteen-year-old.

"I mean, she looked mad," he shrugged.

"She just inherited your mom's look," Camila said entering the kitchen and mocked it squeezing her eyes at him.

"I'm right here!" I said, pretending to be offended.

"Yeah, and I can still hear all of you!" Angelica yelled from the other room.

It was comical how everybody seemed to look scared for a split second.

"Can we please go to the ball, mami?" Nate tilted his head looking at Camila, trying to look as cute as a seventeen-year-old could look, and he did actually look cute.

The girl sighed and looked at me silently asking for backup.

"Nate drunk-called Gabe, to pick you guys up from a party, where most of the kids were drunk if not also high. The only reason why you're not grounded, yet, is that we appreciated you not driving home in that condition."

"Fucking snitch." Daniel groaned glaring at his older brother, I raised my eyebrows but I appreciated how Gabe ignored him and kept making eggs.

"We did the right thing then, why can't we just go?" Nate pretended to be reasonable.

"You shouldn't have gotten drunk in the first place," Gabe said distractedly while pouring two cups of coffee and handing me one of them before sipping from the other.

"You shouldn't have been part of this family in the first place."

Camila's eyes widened at Danny's words but Gabe answered that time.

"You shouldn't make that big of a deal out of the fact that your sorry ass could not get laid as you planned, you got yourself in this situation by getting drunk, I'm not supposed to cover you guys when you do dumb shit that actually can put you in danger."

"Did I hit a nerve, Knight?" Daniel smirked ignoring everything Gabe had said.

I really wanted to say something at that point but somebody else preceded me.
