It was the middle of the summer, I finally had more time for everything.

The boys were four months old and Gabe was about to turn six.

Both Camila's and my birthday had passed that year making us respectively twenty-one and twenty-two.

"Can we go grocery shopping?" my oldest son asked me pulling at the hem of my tank top.

"What's missing?" I asked curious as he dragged me to the kitchen.

"Cereal is over, and also your massage oil."

My eyes widened at the mention of that item.

"How- what- how do you know that?"

He smirked and pointed at the room where Camila and the boys where asleep.

"Mama told aunt D she has to buy new one." I knew I was blushing.

"You're not supposed to listen to their conversations, you know?" I said a little nervous, thinking about when he could bring up the topic again.

"I promise I won't if we go grocery shopping." He put on a pleading face and I shook my head at how cute he looked.

"Hey, I wanna come too!" Camila's raspy voice was heard from the door frame where she was now standing in her underwear and a t-shirt.

"You sure do." I whispered playfully and opened my arms for her to snuggle into me.

She quickly reached for me and nuzzled her head against my neck.

"Morning babe." I whispered against her hair and she just nodded brushing her lips against my skin.

"So can we go shopping now?" Gabe stressed waiting for his answer.

"Are we bringing the boys or do you wanna call Dinah?" Camila asked and I didn't have to think much for an answer.

"Since there's gonna be both of us I think we could handle them."

She just nodded and went to get ready.

We opted for bringing the baby slings instead of the twins' stroller, that thing was huge and not ideal to go around in the store.

Obviously I was assigned Nathan that actually for some reason was way calmer when with me than when he was with Camila.

I held Gabe by the hand while Camila pushed the cart with a sleepy Daniel against her chest in his sling.

I smiled thinking about the five of us, and absentmindedly I kissed softly the forehead of the baby who with his cheek on my chest was looking up at me.

"Why don't you guys go pick the cereal while I grab diapers?" Camila asked and Gabe nodded furiously in response before dragging me to the specific section.

"I want theeese!" Gabe pointed at his favorite brand of cereal almost jumping on the place.

He really was passionate about his food.

I smiled and I noticed a boy, probably around my age, smiling at the scene too.

It was quite usual to see other people smiling at whatever Gabe did in public, so I didn't think much of it and just smiled back at him.

"Can we pick some for mama too? do you remember which is her favorite?" I asked, looking around to see if Camila's cereal was around there too.

Gabe was too taken by his cereal's seeking to notice the boy getting closer to me.

"Hey, you're good at doing groceries while babysitting, you'll probably become a great mother someday." He chuckled looking at Nathan, or at my chest.

Gabe caught on the sentence and turned quickly to look at us, he knew the situation too well, but it had been a while since the last time somebody actually verbalized their wrong assumptions.
