A couple of weeks passed and my relationship with Camila couldn't have gone better, we managed to find time to be together and study together as well.
After presenting our project and getting the best grade of the entire class we decided we worked well enough as a team to study together.
Gabe was totally fine with Camila spending that much time at our place, everything seemed more joyful when she was around, they got along perfectly and the more I saw them together the more my heart grew fonder for her.

I was walking to my next class when a familiar voice called my name, 'shit' I thought.
"Hey! Normani right?" I pretended to not be sure, but how could I have forgotten?
"Yeah, you were with Charles like two weeks ago!" fantastic.
"Charles... right" I scratched the back of my neck thinking of a way to end the conversation soon.
"You can tell me the truth..." she trailed and cold chills went down my spine, what the hell did she want to know?
"Did you two hook up?" maliciousness was in her voice, thank God, I immediately relaxed at her obliviousness and shook my head.
"I'm sorry to disappoint you."
She huffed and crossed her arms "what were you doing there then? he's got a girlfriend, you know?"
I smirked, happy to have found something I could change the topic with "nice, I've got one too."
"Oh..." she seemed confused.
"Well I wouldn't mind finding one too" she added making me burst into laughter.
"Uhm good luck with your search then!" I told her hoping to be able to get rid of her like that and I kept walking waving goodbye at the girl.

That same night Camila was at my place for dinner and Gabe was ecstatic about it.
He helped me make some pasta because that's what Camila wanted in his opinion, and we rarely discussed the fact that they weren't one and the same.
At a knock on the door, Gabe jumped down from the table and ran toward it.
"Who's there?" he yelled laughing full of joy, expecting only one answer in particular.
"It's Camiiiiila" the kid couldn't stay still and jumped around fumbling with the keys, his laugh was loud and full, I could almost hear myself in his voice, it was weird in a very beautiful way.
Immediately Camila picked him up and raising her arms pretended to throw him in the air only to catch him and hold him tightly.
I didn't even know if she was there for me or for him at that point.
When they were done with their greetings Camila came close to me with a toothless adorable smile.
"Hi" she said in a low sweet voice before coming so close that her chest pressed up against mine.
I wrapped my arms around her and noticing that Gabe was distracted I didn't think twice before putting my lips onto hers to steal a sweet little kiss.
Her smile grew even wider and she shot a quick look at the kid before snaking her arms around my waist just to slip them under my shirt and stroke my lower back, toying with the elastic of my pajama pants.
She sighed and hid her face in my neck, where she left a couple of open-mouthed kisses that only I could be aware of, I sighed and tightened my hold on her enjoying our secret affection.
