I wake up on time this morning and sit up.
I rub my eyes as I hear a knock.
"Come in." I say getting up. The door opens and Sebastian enters.
"Good morning my lady. Have you slept well?" He asks.
"As well as I ever do." I say. Sebastian nods.
"What would like for breakfast this morning?" He asks.
"I'm not hungry." I say, walking to the bathroom.
"My lady, you must have something to eat. You are going out today." Sebastian says.
"With who?" I ask.
"I'm afraid I do not know. Your father knows you may ask him at breakfast." Sebastian says. I sigh.
"Fine. Get me a fruit bowl. I'll be down in a minute." I say.
"Yes, my lady." Sebastian says and leaves. Why would father want me to go out? I was out last night, though I didn't find much. It was miss perfect that found the scene, took care of the men, and managed to get herself shot.
I don't like Ana, but thing is I don't know why I don't like her. It's just something about her that I don't like about her. But I also get that uneasy feeling around Sebastian as well. There's something about those two that's not right. But what is it?
I shake the thought and get dressed.
I walk downstairs and into the dining room. Jayce and my father are already seated. Sebastian stands in the corner, waiting for an order. Next to him is Ana.
"What? I thought you were dead!" I say.
"Is that a hint of disappointment I hear?" She asks earning a slight bump in the shoulder from Sebastian. She sighs and crosses her arms.
"Celeste. Leave Ana alone. She's still recovering from last night." Father says. I sigh and sit down. Sebastian brings me a bowl of fruit and a glass of milk. I nod in thanks and start to eat.
"So, I'm sure Sebastian has told you about your plans for today." Father says.
"Yes." I say. "Who's escorting me?"
"Ana will be your escort." He says.
"What?" Ana and I ask.
"Ana, I'm sorry to put this on you on short notice, but your father and I have business to take care of today." My father says.
"I mean whatever is cool. I don't care." Ana says.
"I can't go out with her! She's not even dressed appropriately!" I say. Ana looks down at her outfit.
"I think my outfit is fine. I think the problem here is your lack of fashion variety." Ana says.
"I think your problem is that you don't know how to respect the people superior." I say, standing up.
"I respect those who respects me. Superior or not. You keep treating me like I'm a plague, I'll show you exactly who's superior!" Ana says getting into my face.
"Why you little -!"
"Girls!" My father says.
"That's enough! Celeste, stop being rude. Ana is being polite about escorting you, she is just as capable of protecting you as Sebastian is. Ana, please have patience with Celeste. She's not good around new people. Also please don't kill her." My father says.
"No promises." Ana says glaring at me.
"Ana! You will listen to the Earl. Under my orders as your father. Understand." Sebastian says.
"Yes father." Ana mumbles.
"Now here's some gold. Go get yourself a new dress. You too, Ana. There's going to be a ball tonight." My father says.
"Where?" I ask. My father sighs.
"Fortunately for you and unfortunately for me, it's at the Trancy Manor." My father says.
"I get to see Ally?!" I ask, excitement filling my system.
"Yes. You do." My father says.
"I have to see Colton?" Jayce asks, distaste filling his voice.
"Yes son. You do." My father says.
"Who's Colton?" Ana asks.
"He's the son of Trancy's butler Claude." Sebastian says.
"Faustus?" Ana asks.
"Yes." Sebastian says questioningly. Ana smiles in excitement.
"Do you know Claude?" My father asks.
"No. Never met him. But I do know Colton." Ana says.
"How do you know Colton?" Jayce asks.
"We're best friends. We spent time together before he got kicked out by his mom. 3 months later I got kicked out by mine. I haven't seen him since." Ana says.
"Of course you do." I mumble. Jayce hits my shoulder with his making me roll my eyes.
"Now you two must set out, you don't have long." Father says.
"Yes, my lord." Ana says curtsying slightly and going to the door.
"Yes father. We'll be back soon." I say.
I was looking around the boutique we are in while Ana plays with her black nails waiting for me to finish. I roll my eyes and continue looking. I want something pink. Pink was always my favorite color, ever since I was little. I pick up a couple of pink dresses and go to try them on.
"Hey, Ana." I say.
"What?" She answer's back in a bored voice.
"Not that it would matter, but I want your opinion on these dresses." I say. I hear a sigh of annoyance and muttering.
"Whatever. Whenever you're ready." She says. I walk out in the ball gown.
"Too fluffy." She says. I sigh and change into the shorter one. I come out and show her.
"Too short. It would give people the wrong idea which is bad for a girl of your stature." Ana says. I sigh and go back into the changing room.
Three hours later I slip on the last dress. I walk out and showed Ana. Ana was sat, with the most bored of looks that bored looks can get. Beside her laid was dress bag.
"You already bought your dress?" I ask. Ana nods.
"Yeah, I got bored and went looking for myself and found one that wasn't terrible. So I got it." She says.
"Well, what do you think?" I ask.
"Its nice. Suits you well." Ana says.
"Really?" I ask.
"Yeah. Is that the one? Because I want to go back." Ana says.
"Yeah. I'll change then we can go." I say.
"Finally." Ana sighs. I glare at her and go change.
I get changed and go pay for my dress. When I'm finished, Ana and I walk out of the store. As we walk in silence, I feel a tap on my shoulder. I turn around and face the man.
"Are you Celeste Phantomhive?" He asks.
"Yes." I say, confused. "Can I help you?"
"Yes. You can die." The man says.
"Excuse me?" I say. The man pulls out a gun and points it at me. My eyes widen in shock and fear.
"You heard me."
