"The manor best be like this when we get back."

Dad says to the staff.

"Yes, Mr. Sebastian." They say. I lean against the wall looking at my black nails.

"Ana." Dad says.

"Yeah, yeah, I know. Make sure to keep Celeste safe and don't do anything stupid, reckless, or drastic. Keep everyone in line, and be the man around here." I say. I make a face. "Sorry Bard."

Bard huffs as Mey-rin and Finny stifle laughs. Dad smirks.

"Okay, Ana. Take care." Dad says.

"Stay safe." I say.

"Of course." Dad says and exits. I nod to the staff and exit the kitchen.

I walk down the hall then accidentally run into someone.

"Oh, sorry." I say, looking up.

"No, it's okay." Jayce says. I nod and start to walk away.

"Hey, Ana." Jayce says.

"Yeah?" I ask.

"I'm really sorry about the other night. It was out of line for me to do that." Jayce says.

"No, it's alright. I'm sorry I ran off like that." I say.

"I don't blame you. But it's okay." Jayce says.

"So you're going to France." I say.

"Yeah." Jayce says. "It's supposed to be practice for me when I take my father's place."

"And you have to deal with Trancy and the so called petrifying butler." I say.

"I know. I'm so excited." Jayce says, sarcastically. We laugh.

"I guess I'll see you soon." He says.

"Yeah." I say.

"Bye Ana." He says. I wave as he starts to walk off.

"Wait!" I call. Jayce turns around.

I walk up to him and hand him a letter I've written, the night before.

"Don't open until you get back. If not here, open it, if I am just hand it back to me. Okay?" I say.

"Why would you be gone?" He asks.

"I have to run an errand." I say.

"Okay. I promise." He says.

I nod and kiss his cheek.

"Have a good trip." I say then walk to the main hall, leaving Jayce there in the hallway.

I walk down the main steps in thought.

Maybe I'll be back before they do. I think.

"Ah, Ana. There you are." Ciel says.

"Here I am." I say, walking into the foyer.

"I want you yo take care if my baby while I'm gone." Ciel says.

"Of course my lord. Actually. I was wondering if I may take Celeste on a small vacation." I say.

"Really? Where?" Celeste asks.

"It's a surprise." I say, quickly.

"It's fine with me as long as she is safe." Ciel says.

"She will be. I'll protect her to the best of my abilities." I say.
