Those angels were rough.

One had almost got Will and I'd stopped it. But not without getting slammed into a brick wall by magic.

Colton carries me into a room and sets me down on the bed.

"So what happened?" He asks. I sigh and tell him was happened at the square.

"Damn. What do you think is wrong?" He asks.

"Broken ribs for sure." I mumble, carefully getting comfortable.

"You need a soul." Colton says. I nod.

"But we don't have any." I point out. Then we hear a knock on the door.

"Come in!" I yell. The door opens and Greyson comes in.

"Hey." He says. I wave and sigh.

"How's it going?" I ask.

"I should be asking you that." Greyson says.

I groan in response and shove my face in my pillow. Greyson chuckles and sits down in a chair.

"Actually, I wanted to talk to you." Colton says.

"About?" Greyson asks.

"I know you can collect souls and they go straight to the library." Colton starts. Greyson nods.

"Is it possible that you can collect a soul and bring it here?" He asks.

"Possibly. Why?" Greyson asks.

"On order for Ana to heal faster is for her to eat a soul." Colton says.

I hear some silence.

"I'll see what I can do." Greyson says.

"Thank you!" I say through my pillow.

"Yeah." Greyson says. I hear the door open and close. I carefully turn over and look at Colton.

"What?" He asks.

"Nothing." I mumble. Colton sits next to me.

"Where's Celeste?" I ask.

"Somewhere with Ciel." He answers. I nod. He looks up at the door and frowns.

"Go to sleep Ana. I'll be right back." Colton says. He stands up and walks out of the room.

I don't go to sleep.

I crawl out of the bed and drag myself to the door. As I suspected, Claude and Colton are arguing.

"I thought I told you to stay away from her." Claude says.

"What's your problem with her? Why do you hate her so much?" Colton asks.

"She's not a normal demon." Claude says.

"That's bullshit and you know it. It's the fact that she's a Michaelis." Colton snaps.

"Colton I gave you my order. You will not be around her." Claude says.

"You're no better than my mother." Colton says. The door opens and Colton comes in beside me. He doesn't see me.

"Ana?" He asks.

"Maybe he's right." I say. He looks behind him and stares at me.

"How did you?" He asks.

"Colton." I say. Colton stares at me.

"Ana. You can't be serious." Colton says. I stay in my spot next to the door.

"Ana." He says, kneeling in front of me. "Why?"

"I don't want you in trouble. Besides, he's right. I'm not a normal demon. I'm dangerous to you." I say. Colton shakes his head in denial.

"I am." I say.

"You're not!" He argues.

"Colton open your eyes! I'm dangerous to you! I'm dangerous to Celeste, Ciel, Jayce and all of them! I'm dangerous to the reapers! I'm dangerous to Ashley! Hell, I'm dangerous to my own father!" I say. Colton looks up.

"I should have listened to you." I mumble.

"Ana, don't talk like that." Colton says.

"But it's true." I say. Colton's silence is unnerving. I know he's completely agreeing with everything I had just said. I drag myself from the spot by the door to the bed. I feel strong arms wrapped around me and lift me up.

"Colton." I mumble.

"Shh." He whispers, before setting me down.

"I'm going to see if Greyson is back." He says quietly before leaving.

I lay back onto the pillow. And fall asleep to my own thoughts.

"Ana."

I open my eyes to meet Greyson's.

"Hey." I say groggily.

"I have the soul you need."

"Oh. Great." I say.

"Okay, here's the weird part." He mumbles.

"What weird part?" I ask.

"In order to get you the soul, I had to eat it myself and I have to give to you through..." he mumbles the last part.

"Through what Greyson?" I ask.

He mumbles again. I get frustrated with the mumbling.

"Spit it out." I bark.

"I have to give to you through lip to lip contact!" Greyson says quickly. I look at him like he's crazy.

Kissing?

Greyson?

What?

"I promise this isn't some shitty excuse to kiss you. I read up on it and that's what it says. Look." Greyson flips through a little book and hands it to me. I scan the page and sure enough, that's what it says.

"Don't go overboard." I sigh.

"Overboard with what?" Colton asks coming into the room. Great. Just great. First I have to kiss Greyson, now I have to do it with Colton in the room.

I thrust the book to Colton who takes it and scans over the page.

"You had to eat the soul yourself?" Colton asks.

"Yeah." Greyson says.

"And you have to kiss her in order to give her the soul." Colton says.

"Basically." Greyson says.

"Whatever! Just give me the damn soul." I say.

"Okay." Greyson carefully pulls me up to a sitting position. He pushes strands of hair out of my face gently while looking into my eyes.

"Does it have to be so intimate?" Colton blurts out.

"It had to be a peaceful environment for the soul to transfer properly and safely. If it doesn't, it will hurt Ana and me." Greyson replies, irritated. Colton huffs, crosses his arms, turning away.

Greyson sighs and looks at me again. I look at Colton sadly.

"Ana." Greyson says softly. I turn my attention to him.

"Are you ready?" He asks. I nod as his hands come up to cup my cheeks.

"Don't worry. It will be done soon." He murmurs. I nod as he leans in and connects our lips together.
