Brendon knew he had to make this day last. He wouldn't cry all day, or waste his time at school, but he'd spend all day with Ryan.

Ryan had specifically asked for nothing major to be done on his last day before he left the state, so Brendon was going to spend as much time with Ryan as he could, doing fun things. He didn't want to waste this day away, and the best way to do this was by skipping school.

They were going to spend the entire day by themselves, just the two of them.

Brendon was just choosing what jacket to wear before he left his house to go to Ryan's, which was already filled with moving boxes and barely any possessions were left. He combed his fingers several times through his messy hair, but he decided not to give a fuck and he was soon rushing down the stairs and out the door.

Brendon rarely ran, but he felt like running was necessary in order to reach Ryan as soon as he could. Ryan's house wasn't too far, and he reached the front door of it in barely any time.

The door swung open after Brendon had barely touched the doorbell, and Ryan greeted him with a huge grin.
"Brendon!" He yelled as he jumped into Brendon's arms, making Brendon have to hold himself up against the wall to avoid falling over.

"I don't know what you're so happy about, it's your last day here." Brendon grumbled, and Ryan pulled away, mildly angry.

"I know that, that's why I'm happy, to see you on my last day." He snapped, pouting slightly.

"Whatever." Brendon sighed, walking inside the nearly empty building he couldn't call Ryan's for much longer. He looked at all the boxes piled up in the corridor, and at the gap in each room from where things used to be.

Brendon turned back to face Ryan, who was watching Brendon gravely, and before he could help it he flung himself into Ryan's arms, close to tears.
"Ryan, I don't want you to go!" He sobbed into Ryan's shoulder, and Ryan patted him soothingly on the back.

"There, there, Bren. I thought I could take you on a nice date to that nice coffee shop in town?" Ryan suggested, and Brendon looked up into Ryan's eyes.

"I'd like that." He sniffed.

"I really fucking regret doing this."

Pete stood in front of the bathroom mirror, hair dye clutched in one hand and his phone in the other.

His hair already had the dye in it, and it was way too late to back out now. Pete shakily bent over the sink to wash out all of the dye, and Patrick, who was talking to him over the phone, was yelling excitedly.
"How does it look? How does it look?"

Pete turned off the tap and looked in the mirror.
"I look ridiculous!" He groaned, drying his newly dyed hair with a towel.

"So, you actually cut your hair short and dyed it pink?" Patrick laughed over the phone, and Pete sighed.

"I wish I hadn't, but I'm a desperate little bitch in love, what can I do."

"You're going to look so hilarious today, Wentz!"

Pete grunted, unamused. "I know, but I feel like Mikey will remember me for sure."

"What happened? Why will he remember you with dumb hair?" Patrick asked, not sure how Pete with pink hair had anything to do with Mikey.

"On a date, I told him I'd dye my hair pink for him. So that's exactly what I'm doing. I wish I had said something else, but I promised I'd do this for him. I'm such a fucking dumbass." Pete put his head in his free hand, sighing heavily.
