We landed in the Miami National Airport, everyone clapped and we got off.

"What time is it?" I asked as we walked to a Starbucks.

"L.A is three hours behind us so it's about..." He tapped his chin. "About nine almost ten o clock in the morning."

"Dang! The day just started then." I said. "Where we gonna go though?"

"My moms place." He said.

I groaned. "Denzellllll!!!"

"Toniiii!" He groaned back.

"I don't wanna go back there! Remember what happened last time?"

"I remember, I'll make sure he stays away from you."

"You know Juggy always find a way." I rolled my eyes and looked at the menu.

"Don't even acknowledge him if he rides by." He said.

"Iced Coffee with milk please." We stood on the side waiting for my drink. "Watch him snatch me up like last time. Juggy was cool until he shot up that twelve year old and almost kidnapped me!"

"He was messing with his money!" Denzel argued.

"A twelve year old, Denzel! He killed a child!"

"A child that bought weed and didn't pay for it! That's his bad! He wanted to get into men's business!"

"Whatever. Ain't nothing we can do about it now." I payed for my dink and we were on our way.

"Anyway, where we tryna go is a good twenty five minutes from here. Let's get there before everybody start coming."

We sped walked outside and caught a taxi.

"Thanks!" We got out and walked up the street.

"Memories. A nigga got stabbed on this corner." I pointed to where a stop sign was.

"Oh yeah, he died there too. Ain't even last an hour. Foaming at the mouth and all." Denzel shook his head and we knocked on his mamas door.

"Who da hell is it!?" She asked from inside the house.

"A nigga!" He shouted.

"Den leave!" She sucked her teeth.

"I'm kidding! Open the door, Ma!"

She looked in the peep hole and opened the door. "Boy don't play with me, almost got shot!"

"Yeah, with a BB gun." We walked in.

"Shut the hell up. Hey Toni! Ain't know you was coming down here." She hugged me and we plopped down on the couch. "Thought you was still in Harlem."

"No ma'am! We was in L.A." She handed me a can of coconut water and took my empty Starbucks cup."

"L.A! Did you find Ne-Yo? You know that's my husband!"

"I know it and no I ain't see him." I opened the can and drank half of the water and gave the rest to Denzel.

"Damn it! So how come y'all came here without telling me anything! Denzel! I told you-"

"To call whenever I came through. Yes I know!" He mocked her.

"Mhm, that's right. So why didn't you do that?"

"Alright, I need you to keep your mouth shut, don't say anything about what I'm about to tell you. Rakim is Toni's friend right?" He told her about what happen and how I was a stripper and how they were selling.

She covered her mouth. "I'm disappointed."

"Why? He forced us." I said.

"I don't expect that out of y'all. Denzel, what did I tell you about doing the shit every nigga is doing? You need to stand out from the crowd. How you gonna be a rapper but been selling bricks on Compton boulevard?"

"Mom, I know. It was just to get by."

"You keep saying you know but you not following what I'm telling you." She hit the back of his head. "And you Toni! You a good kid! The hell you doing on a pole? You lucky you ain't my child and y'all basically adults. I'd beat the shit out of both of y'all."

"I'm sorry, Ma." Denzel frowned.

"Whatever, get out my face. I want to talk to Toni. Go!" She exhaled and shook her head.
