While Rocky was asleep I decided to sneak out and see Denzel. I know he's worried sick. I grabbed the car and house keys and drove to his house.
It took me a while to find his house but once I found it I got out and ran to the front door and knocked. Denzel opened the door and embraced me."Toni!" He pulled away from the hug. "I'm so sorry!"
"It's alright! I'm fine, I'm with Rakim."
"You're what?!" He let me in.
"I'm living with Rakim in some nice place a couple of minutes away from here."
"Are you kidding me!? After all this-all this for you to live with him?!" He looked at me in disbelief.
"No! I mean...yeah but it's ok!" I held onto his shoulders. "He hasn't harmed me or anything. He's actually in a bad place right now."
He rolled his eyes. "What could've possibly happened to him?"
"One of his friends OD'd."
"Shit...you for real?"
"Yeah. Anyway, I just came here to let you know that I'm fine. I gotta go now before he wakes up."
"No! Toni." He grabbed my hand.
I hugged him one last time. "Whenever I get a phone I'll call you. I memorized your number."
He held onto me tightly. "Promise you'll come visit."
"I promise."
"Alright. I guess it's time for me to let you go. See you later Toni." He kissed my cheek.
I smiled and left. I sped back to Rakim's place. Once I entered the house he was sitting in the kitchen with a bottle and was sobbing.
I put the keys on the counter where he was wallowing in a bottle. I pushed the bottle away and held him."I thought you left." He said.
"I just went somewhere. I didn't leave you permanently."
"I'm sorry. I just jumped to conclusions." He covered his face.
He silently sobbed in my arms and pulled out a gun from the drawer.
"I'm done with everything. So much shit has happened and I don't think I can do it." He said dejectedly.
"What?!" I wasn't sure if he was trying to shoot me or himself.
"I have to go." He got up.
"Rakim!!!!" I ran after him. He pushed me away.
