Pennia's POV

I walked the perimeter of our camp again, looking for the cause of the twig snapping. It could've been an animal but who knows?

Bray was asleep and Bentley was on the opposite side of the camp, doing the same as me.

We still haven't heard from Issac and Prim; no cannons have gone off so we weren't worried.

The wedding made my heart ache for Finnick. I hadn't seen him since my last dream; I hadn't heard from him since he sent down his gift.

I didn't know what Finnick and I were, what we would ever become. I wished, I hoped, and I prayed that one day I would see him, face to face.

I sat down, leaning back against the trees behind me. I felt my eyes flutter shut and before I knew it, I was asleep; dreaming of all the impossible things I wanted to do with the man of my dreams.

Katniss' POV

I sat in my pod, the blankets pulled tight around me. My younger sister had just gotten married, and I hadn't been there.

At first, I was shocked. How dare the Capitol let them have hope? Why would Snow ever allow something like that?

Then, I was horrified. I was the worst sister on the planet; I wasn't at my baby sister's wedding. I wasn't there to help her get ready, or to give her hand to Issac.

After that, I was outraged. I wasn't there, so Penn took my place. She was maid of honor, my place. She arranged the wedding, my place. Penn had done what a sister was supposed to do.

And now, I'm upset. My little sister has grown up before my eyes. She met the love of her life and got married. Prim isn't the little duckling anymore.

A soft knock at the door tore me from my thoughts. I looked up to see Finnick, a sight that became unpleasant to me.

"What do you want now," I groan, pulling my covers tighter to me.

"Am I not allowed to check in on you?" He said, taking a seat at my small table.

"No, you aren't my doctor."

"Might as well be, you never let the doctors in." Finnick said, sending his signature smile my way.

"Why are you here? Hasn't your girlfriend done enough?" I snap, turning my back towards him.

"First off, don't talk about Penn that way. Yeah?" Finnick snapped back, his happy chipper disappearing instantly. "Second off, she's isn't my girlfriend. Yet."

"If you think I care, you're wrong." I say, sending him the fakest smile I can muster.

Finnick rolled his eyes, standing from the table quickly; the force of his push knocked the chair down.

"I guess you don't want to hear Coin's plan then," Finnick said, walking towards the door.

His words had me bolting out if bed, grabbing his arm before he was completely out of the door.

"What plan?" I said, swallowing to wet my suddenly dry throat.

"Why don't we go to the conference room and find out?" He suggested, trying to guide me out of the room.

"Tell me now," I argued, stomping my foot.

Finnick rolled his eyes, looking around to see if anyone was listening and or watching.

"Coin's plan to get the tributes out of the arena," he whispered into my ear.

My eyes widened as I grabbed his arm, sprinting off towards the conference room as fast as my legs could carry me.
