Red was being a dick.

Well, he's almost always a dick, but never to me or anyone in the crew. He never disrespects us because we're all the kid has. It was weird seeing him mad at me. We did the switcharoo all the time. One of us gets a girl, and the crew fucks with her. No strings attached. No relationships. Just drugs and simple fucking.

But Red was being so weird. He didn't want anyone in the crew to even talk to her for more than five minutes. It's crazy how much a girl can affect him.

"You let us switch around Taylor," I pointed out. Red lifted his head from his phone.

"Don't bring Taylor into this. This is about Jaida. Taylor means nothing."

Everyone started to come out of the gas station with their bags.

"Don't talk about this anymore, Robert. I don't want Jaida to hear about this."

My mind was telling my to hurt him, but something slipped out as soon as Jaida entered the car.

"You don't want me to talk about Taylor anymore? Do you still love her?"

Jaida's eyebrows scrunched, and her mouth formed a perfect 'O' shape.

"Who's Taylor?" she asked.

I gulped loudly.

"Don't worry about it," I told her. Her eyebrows raised and she muttered something under her breath.

I tapped my finger to the beat of the song on the steering wheel. I couldn't stop thinking about what was going to happen in the cabin. I planned a sweet time, but I know this experience was going to be shitty.

Everyone got to the huge cabin and took their suitcase. It's funny how everyone was having more fun than me and Jaida. I found myself looking at her, but she was already glaring. She reached for her bag but I took it instead.

"I got it," I told her. She walked ahead of me. I knew she wanted to talk to me.

But my view from the back was great.

Tailyn's instantly opened her alcohol cabinets and we all took turns taking a sip from each bottle to see which one was the greatest. I most definitely found a great one-- whiskey. I didn't know what got into me. I've always been able to control my substances, and I was usually the one who calmed all of my hammered friends down.

"You want anything to drink?" Robert asked Jaida. She smiled and nodded and he poured her a whole cup. They sipped and conversed while I sat there drinking until I couldn't feel my face.

Pathetic.

"P-A-C-H-T-E-I-T, pathetic," I slurred. Everyone looked at me.

"..What?" Zach asked. I shrugged it off and went on the porch to watch the sunset.

"Dude? What's up with you?" Alex asked me. I ignored him and went to get another drink. I didn't want to talk about it to anyone else but Jaida.

I didn't want to switch her around. I wanted all of her attention on me. I wanted her to giggle at me, and drink with me.

I went back on the porch, and they were all inside. I slammed the door to try and get her attention, but it didn't work and she continued to talk to Robert.

"He's going crazy, that's all I have to say." Alex laughed. I laughed too, but I knew I shouldn't have. "He likes you, a lot.. But that's the problem. I think he's going crazy over you."

I kept drinking to avoid talking. I liked Red, and despite the things people said about him, I knew he wasn't crazy.

There was a loud thump on the porch, and everyone saw Red jump off. He rolled into the sand of the beach and ran to the water. He stepped into the water with all of his clothing still on, not caring about about how soaked he was.

Everyone stared at him with blank faces. They saw a crazy, drunk human being, but I saw someone who wanted adventures in his life.

I hopped off of the porch too. I know I could have taken the stairs, but I didn't realize that until I was already on the ground. I let my mind take me to the water. I took my clothes off, leaving me in my bra and underwear. He turned around, his wet white tee pressing to his chest. I pressed my body against his. He caressed my cheek while he kissed me. No one mattered at this point but ourselves.

"Why did you come in here?" I asked him. He wiped the water from his eyes.

"Because I knew you'd come after me,"
