I shouldn't pay attention to Robert and Jaida dancing together in the backseat. It was so fucking stupid. But the more I imagined her loving him like I loved her, made me want to go back there and grab him by his neck.

They sang the Weeknd song like it was a romantic duet. He winked at her, but I kept telling myself to look at the road.

"Slow down man. You're going 29 miles more than what the speed limit says. Are you good?" Alex asked.

I completely ignored him. I slowed down. I stared into the rear view mirror. I wanted to see what Robert and Jaida were doing. Stupid asshole. Every girl I talked to, he managed to fuck around with.

Jaida wasn't a joint. The crew didn't pass her around and inhale her. They shouldn't get high off of her.

She was my blunt.

I switched the radio station, and listened to a song they couldn't sing to. Jaida awkwardly drifted away from him, staring out the window. Happiness flowed through my body. During that moment, I realized that I was going to be spending most of my vacation time, on making sure I got to enjoy it more than everyone else.

It was about midnight now, and everyone wanted to stop at the gas station for some slushies and donuts.
I stayed in the car and scrolled through Instagram. Robert stayed in the back, laughing at his own thoughts.

"Do you guys want me to get anything for the rest of the trip?" Jaida asked. I shook my head no.

"Nah, sweetie.. I'm good," Robert smirked. She gave him a thumbs up and walked in with Makayla and Vanessa.

"How in the world did you get that?" he jokingly said. I kept scrolling.

"I don't know. Maybe because I actually get girls myself and don't purposely flirt with girls because my friends are dating them,"

Robert flicked me off and I shrugged.

"By the way, she's not gonna stay with you for long. So I'm flirting with her because she's an easy catch,"
