/no one's pov/ ( this is not anyone's point of view. This is just simply me explaining what is happening.)

"This is a lot to handle," she told Red into the phone. He got up and left the room so that no one could hear them talking.

"Well I can totally handle this..."

"Why don't you come over?" She asked.

And with that, Red drove over to her home. She was already opening the door by the time he got onto the first step. She hugged him close and brought him inside.

"You were a cute little boy. I was raising you and Austin. I met a man who I thought was the love of my life. He bought you and Austin things, and he made sure that he spent every waking moment with you two." She began. He didn't want to look at her. She abandoned him.

"He wasn't the father. He was no where close to being the father. And I told him and he threw a bottle at me. I agreed that I'd take Austin, and he would take you. You made him happy."

"No I didn't." Red shot back at her, which startled her.

"I ran and put Austin in the car. I ran back into the house to say good bye to you but I remembered that you had football practice after school. I ran into the car and as I drove away, I saw you. You looked so confused and so... Broken."

That's what Red was. He was just a completely broken teenage boy who hated everything about him. He wanted to forgive her, but at the same time, he blamed himself. He could've ran away from home all the times he wanted to but chose not to. He thought the world would be better without him.

"I love you mom."

Austin opened the door.

"What is he doing here, mom?!" Austin asked.

"This is your brother..."

Red didnt want to be here. He was so used to not having a family around that when they were finally here, it was overwhelming and sickening.

Before he could jump back into reality, he was running out of the house, and jumping into the car.

"Come back," his mother said.

But he pulled out of the driveway and went somewhere. Somewhere he needed to be.

~Red's POV~

I went to Rocco. I haven't talked to him in a long time, but I was in need of drugs. And I wanted a place to stay where no one really knew where I was. But Rocco hated me. I beat him when he messed with Tailyn.

"Rocco, it's me, Red."

"I'll kill you."

"I need drugs. I need a place to stay,"

"Come over."

I got there and entered the old home. It wasn't fancy, but it didn't need to be. People just got high and dangerous in there.

"Hello?"

I couldn't hear anyone.

Finally, after walking down the hallway, someone grabbed me. They were stronger than me. They pulled me into a dark room. I was getting punched repeatedly. I would have hit back but it was so dark and I was losing consciousness. They kicked me, and hit me with a bat until I was weak and could feel the blood slowly dripping out of my mouth. I tried to stay awake but I knew that closing my eyes could make me pass out. I can't die. My breathing got unsteady, and I kept coughing. They finally gave up with a 'I think he's dead' look and left the room. I knew no one was looking for me, so I was in peace. I just felt horrible dying, knowing that no one knew exactly how much I couldn't live without them. Thinking gave me an enormous headache and I started coughing blood for the hundredth time within the last 5 minutes.

Me and his friends continuously called and texted him. He'd always at least answer one of them. But I thought we should give him space. He went to Mrs. Mahone's house, and he could still possibly be there.

Soon after 7 hours, we knew he wasn't there. We knew he wasn't at his house, because he would much rather be around us then around his dad. We checked stores, and alleys. No one knew.

"Oh fuck," Robert said.

Everyone surrounded him.

"Well, once, Red told me something... He said that when things get really bad, he will go to Rocco's. I wasn't supposed to tell you guys. He will be mad if you guys know."

"But everything was going well for him. Why does he think everything is bad?!" I asked. They all looked at each-other.

The girls stayed home. Vanessa and Makayla didn't come around anymore. It was just Perrie, Tailyn, and I.

We all looked at stupid pictures and talked about old boyfriends, or embarrassing moments. Everything was going good.

Liam, Louis, Niall, Harry, Zayn, Zach, Robert, Alex, and I went to Rocco's.

"Let us in!" I screamed as I tried opening the door.

"There is not much to do. He's dying. Try dragging his lifeless body home.. There's no use." Rocco laughed. Zach took him by the neck and began to punch him over and over again. The boys jumped in, and I walked into each room, looking for him. Finally, I got to a really dark room.

I turned the light on and saw him struggling to breath. Blood filled his once white shirt. And he coughed some more. I began trying to pick him up.

"Stop." He quietly coughed out. It took him a lot of energy to say those words.

"I deserve this," he coughed out again. I tried picking him up again, but he pushed my hands off of him.

"Don't tell Jaida whats actually happening please," he whispered.

A tear fell right out of my eye, and I did my handshake with him, even though he didn't do it back.

"You'll always be my bud," Red said.
