As with its predecessor, this book is an effort to rationalize the logic
and philosophy behind Christianity. It is meant to help those who are
questioning and struggling with the faith. It is not an academic work, but as
with all works aiming at rationalization, it may read like one. The purpose of
this book is to further elaborate on certain points, and also to serve as a
compendium for the first book. It is not my intention to convince anyone of
what I believe, but simply, to report my rationalizations.
As mentioned in in "A Practical Guide to the Logic, Philosophy and
Thoughts of Christianity" (ISBN: 978-981-09-8412-0,
http://tinyurl.com/7tvt7vq), I must again state that I am no theologian or
philosopher. Any theology in this book is at best, "armchair theology", and
far from the best of academic theology or philosophy. Although this book
may discuss doctrines, philosophy and theology, it is not an academic thesis,
nor should it be treated as one. I did not attempt to draw support from
primary sources, and I would like to remind the readers that I am attempting
to appeal to the already present logic and rationalization of the Christian,
assuming familiarity with some of the principles of Christianity and
religious beliefs.
Despite surprising feedback that the first book was a little heavy for
the everyday Christian reader, the purpose of this writing is to go a step
further into the thoughts, logic, and philosophy of Christianity, and
therefore, it is likely that this second book will seem more "thoughtprovoking"
than its processor. Unlike the first book, this book will focus more on certain issues within Christianity, and as a result, there would be
more articles within what was Section 2 in Book 1.
The writings in this book are not sermons, nor are they theological. I
dare not lay claim to divine inspiration, but if any help comes from it, it
would be from the Lord. If there are any faults or mistakes, it is mine alone.
Hope you find this book useful.
