Chapter 38: "Loving Them"

Mallory walked into the room where she is staying and smiled then burst into tears. Jay looked over at he and smiled.

"Mal, what are you crying about?" Jay asked walking over to hug her but she backed up scared Jay was going to hurt her.

"I i never had my own room before.. I was always the one who got the shitty things. They never cared about me.. I certainly didn't care about them." She sat down on the bed looking at Jay.

"Hey you don't have to worry.. I'm not gonna hurt you.. I promise. I will never. I I just want you to know just because you are not my daughter I love you like my own.. You are mine. I promise you'll get treated just like the boys.. I have always wanted a daughter too."

"I'm scared.. That he's gonna come back and hurt me.." Mallory hugged Jay then burst into more tears.

Jay put his arm around her and hugged her tightly. "Don't worry he's not going to hurt you I promise.. I promise he'll never hurt you." Jay kissed her forehead. Erin walked past holding the laundry basket she stopped in front of the door.

"I'm glad she came back." She mumbled.

Easton sat in his room trying to study but nothing was sticking. He got up and heard the door knock. He opened it up to his grandpa and grandma.

"Hey Grandpa, Hey Grandma. Hey Danny." Easton said bending down to pick him up.

Easton started tickling him,Danny started laughing.

"Mom needs to talk to you to." Erin walked into the living room and noticed Hank and Camille.

Erin sat down at the table with Hank and Camille and smiled. "I have a daughter.." Hank's mouth shot open. Camille placed her hand on Erin's arm.

"Erin,honey what do you mean?" Camille asked shocked.

"When I was 19, I was drunk really drunk.. I don't really remember much but when I was 18.. I had a baby girl. I named her Mallory Camille and I gave her up for adoption.. She came back and she here's.. I'm raising her.. It was when I left for college.. I didn't tell anyone.." Erin smiled

"Where is she?" Hank asked still shocked

"She's in the room talking with Jay." Erin got up and walked to the room.

"Mal, I want you to meet my dad." Mallory smiled at Jay then got up and walked to the kitchen.

"Hey Erin, what's for dinner?" Mallory asked

"Alfredo pasta with shrimp.. This is Hank and that's Camille.. I guess you can call them your grandparents." Mallory smiled

"Hi. I'm Mallory." She walked towards the fridge and grabbed a water.

"I'm Hank, I'm not gonna pressure you.. You can call me grandpa when you are ready." Hank walked over and tried giving her a hug but she backed up.

"Yeah. Mal I'm finishing dinner now. I just heard the door ring could you?" Mallory shook her head and walked towards the door.

Mallory opened the door and it was Charlie Puglazzi..

"Excuse me who are you?" Mallory asked

"I'm looking for Erin." Hank remember his raspy voice and sprinted to the door.

"Charlie go!! You are not going to get away with anything so leave!"

"I just wanted to see Erin.. Tell her that TJ's in the hospital." Erin ran towards him but Hank put his arm out

"I swear if I find out you did it then I'm killing you myself!" Erin shouted
