Chapter 27: "A First Day and a Birthday"

Erin woke up early rolling out of bed. She walked to the kitchen and fixed some coffee. She sat down at the kitchen table reading the news on her phone. Easton woke up near 6:40 and started getting dressed.

After he did he walked into the kitchen and hugged Erin.
"Who's bringing me to school?" He asked

"Probably your dad. Have fun.." Easton chuckled.

"Yeah I don't know.. Aidyn seems to be getting closer to Owen which I mean I don't care.. I just like her too." Erin smiled as she looked up from her phone.

"Maybe she feels the same way.. Alright well I have to get Jack up so have fun and please be good.." Erin kissed his head then walked out. Jay walked into the kitchen putting his gun in his holster then his badge. After that he button the top of his shirt.

"Alright ready? I think you are. So let's go before you are late." Easton nodded his head then walked towards the car.

"Do I have to go?" Jay laughed in his face..

"Yeah. You do. Now get your broken leg butt into the car." Easton rolled his eyes and climbed into the truck.

"So You know Aidyn right?" Easton said.

"Yes.. What about Her?"
Easton smiled

"I like her, but I know she'd never date me because she likes Owen." Jay pulled into the school.

"East, ask her.. Just don't let a girl break your friendship. It's happened and it's the worst feeling in the world." Jay parked the truck then let Easton out. He grabbed his school bag and hopped to the door.

One of the girls Grace came up to him and hugged him. "How was your summer?" He shook his head.

"It was good. Not the best one but you know.." He continued to walk in the door. All of his friends asked him what happened.

"Chill out guys." Owen walked over to him and hugged him.

"O, you can have Aidyn." Owen turned his head and smiled.

"Really?"

"No. I'm joking. I'm fighting for her till the day I die. I just might win this fight." Owen lightly punched his shoulder.

"It's on." They fist bumped then walked to class. Aidyn following them since she was in the same home room.

"Hi Aidyn, how are you? Having fun yet?" She chuckled.

"It's school. How do I have fun at school?" Easton sat down and put his crutches to the side.

"I don't know. Aren't you trying out for cheerleading?" She laughed

"Yeah... And basketball and softball.. What about you.. Oh wait you can't." She chuckled

Erin walked out of the house holding Jack. She drove to Hank's house and walked inside. Daniel ran up to her and hugged her.

"Auntie Erin!" She smiled and hugged him.

"Momma, Papa?" She chuckled

"Jack, papa is at work. You'll see him later." Erin put him down and the two boys ran and played.

"Hey Erin, what's wrong?" Camille asked hugging Erin.

"Nothing Ma. I do need to tell you something though.."
Camille looked a little worried but she walked into the kitchen.

"I have another sister.. From Bunny.. I met her in North Carolina and it was weird because she looked just like me.. Like almost as if we were identical.." Camille smiled..
