Chapter 37: "What She Really Wanted"

Erin's eyes filled with tears as the doctors were giving their little boy CPR. Jay stood up and stood over them as they worked. Slowly closing his eyes and praying to God.

"Come on he's gonna make it... Please."

Hank stood up as Maggie walked back in. "Mr. Voight we have no news but the baby was born not breathing. He should be okay. I don't know much. The doctors are working on him." Hanks eyes filled with tears

"It's a boy." He said softly as he gripped tightly to his cross necklace.. The chain flowing downward where everyone could see it.

"Grandpa, he's gonna make it right?" Easton asked
Hank wrapped his arm around his grandson and smiled

"That boy he's a Halstead East.. He'll make it." Easton got a little less worried , he backed up and hugged his grandma.

"Grandma, I love you. I never want you to leave." Camille kissed his forehead then waited for news

"JAY! WHERE IS OUR SON?"

A couple minutes later they all heard cries. Erin burst into even more tears as she heard them get louder. The nurses cleaned him off then handed him to Erin

"Levi Andrew.. I love you my sweet boy." Erin said

"He's beautiful..."

"He was born 10:45 March 15th.." The nurse yelled

"C can I hold Him Erin?" Jay asked

Erin lifted him and handed him to Jay. Jay pulled him close to his chest.

"You little guy you are my little hero.. I love you Lee." Jay chuckled loudly as his newest little son opened his eyes.

Erin was wheeled back into the room and Jay stood next to her. First Jay walked into the waiting room and smiled. He told Easton and Jack to follow him.

"You two come on!" Jack grabbed Easton's hand and ran with him towards the room. Easton smiled as he saw his mom holding his little brother.

"Hi mom... You look really pretty." Easton said not trying to make anyone laugh,

"East, don't you play with me. Wanna hold your little brother? His name is."

"Levi I know. Dad told me." Easton smiled down at his little brother.

"He's beautiful Mom dad... He's got your eyes Dad." Jay smiled

"I guess he does.." Jay walked into the waiting room and hugged Hank.

"Thank you Hank.. Without Erin I don't know where I would be. I don't know if I would be as happy as I am.. Thank you for bringing Erin to me and thank you for taking me under your wing." Hank smiled

"Jay, you are one of the best detectives I've ever worked with.. You are going far I promise." Jay smiled then hugged his friends as they all congratulated him on Levi

"Well what's his name?" Kevin asked

"His name is Levi Andrew, we call him Lee for short." Camille's face lit up, she got up from holding her grandson and walked towards Jay and gave him a big hug.

Easton gave the baby back to his mom then picked Jack up and set him on the bed.

"Momma, baby?" Erin shook her head

"Yes Jack you have a baby brother.. you have to be really gentle with him.." Jack shook his head

"Name?" He said

"Lee."

"Lee." Jack repeated. Erin smiled and kissed his head. Jay walked back into the room and sat down right next to his wife. Erin turned her head, smiling.
