I bustled along the busy foot path, my focus complete. I would perform all the tasks on my list before the day was out. It was difficult enough trying to get leave in order to sort out some personnal matters that I really could not allow a moment to waste. I paused at the busy intersection and stuffed my hand down my crampacked hand bag. It was my favourite already tearing at the seams but beloved nevertheless. I ignored the shocked glances that passerbys threw my way when they took in the tattered condition of my hand bag.

"Eat shit!" I muttered out softly.

"Ah ha!" I exclaimed loudly to no one in particular as I managed to pull out what I was looking for. In the palm of my hand was my list. One that would get me successfully through the day with all my tasks ticked complete. I was still somewhat old fashion to do my list on paper especially when I had my favourite Iphone cacooned in the loving embrace of my beloved hand bag.

I shook out the impressive list that I sat up late last night drawing up and took note of the first item on the agenda. The best on the list. Get coffee ASAP!

With that singular thought crowing my mind I struck out accross the intersection when the green running man told me to and on right into the busy coffee shop at the other end. I pushed and shoved my way in for really traffic here was crazy. It was almost as if this was teh only coffee shop in the planet. Couldn't the addicts go elsewhere? Don't get me wrong I was not a coffee adict, its only that this here shop brews my kinda coffee in the excat way that I like it. The perfect blend. I made my way frantically to the front or should I say the back of the queue.

Already, I felt my feet tapping impatiently. This was going to take too long, I glanced down at the second item on my list still clutched in the palm of my hand wondering if I would have to make a sacrifice and skip this mornings coffee.

"No fucking way!" The second item on the list did its task and motivated me to hang on to my queue. There was no way I could get onto the next task without downing a cup of the very best in coffee.

My list was special. It was designed with carefull thought, one that would provoke the right response at every turn, one that would persevere at every obstacle and in short would that would see me through this day achieveing all that was on it and hopefully some that was not.

Finally, I made it to the counter and I openned my mouth to sprout off the usual but was cut short by a wide smile from Cherry who asked, "The usual?"

"Yes, please," I beamed up at her for she was really tall.

In a jiffty, she thrust out a cup towards me with my liquid gold. I beamed up at her again and turned a blind eye to the exhorbitant price. Inflation, pah! If the economy was inflated at the same rate as coffee cup prices, we'd be dripping in gold!

I pushed and shoved my way out then took a moment to straighten my clothes that always seemed to rearrange themselves after a visit to Martha's Coffee Shop and took my first sip. Ahh..the day looked  brighter already.

Envigorated by my cup of coffee, I set off to the next task on my list, a meeting with my old neighbour, small town bad boy, the gorgeous Brett Williams.

I had been postphoning the meeting for as long as I could but it needed to be done, he was the only interested party in the purchase of my house back in Sheffords.

Brett Williams, the last I saw him was at uncle Wilford's funeral. He had looked as dashing as ever. If not more so. If he had been strking amazing in his teens, as a mature adult he was tounge twisting panty soaking yum!

I was not at all looking forward to this meeting. But my list has contingencies even for that. I will have to wait though, wait till I am before Brett and his awesomeness, before I looked to the next item on my list. The item that will serve to ground me so that I may hold my own in the meeting and come out on tops.
