I made my way slowly to the building that housed the office of Brett, he was an architect a successful one by the look of things. I sipped my coffee and leisurely strolled accross the polished floors asI made my way to the elevator. I punched on the correct floor and stood back to allow others to squeze it. I could of course have scedule Brett in for later in the day but I want this over and done with. "First thing in the morning" I had rudely barked at him over the phone and then when he had passed my along to his secretary I politely booked in a more reasonable nine o'clock. I had not taken the morning rush in that equation and now have only myself to blame for having to suffer the onrush.

I scooted back even further and was pressed up against the elevator wall. I frantically sipped at my coffee eager to have it finished before I emerge before the Brett. At last the elevator pinged at my floor and I was able to let myself out without too much of a struggle but still my skirt had to be twisted back into place and my shirt re-tucked into my skirt. I tossed my emplty cup into the trash to do this and after straightening my hair next, all this in front of the very amused receptionist I made my way to her desk and announced myself as Mr Brett's 9am. The receiptionist, Leanne's wide smile only turned wider at that. I looked on at her with some curiosity over that but then her knowing smile caught on. Brett must still be a player after all, even so I doubt his lady friends would schedule in a 9am, that would be sheer stupidity.

So all I did was hummpp at Leanne's silly implication and then stuck my hand into my handbag to dig out the suddenl;y illusive list. I fumbled around frantically for I needed that next item on the list to ground me before that door swung open to reveal the most awesome looking man on earth before my very eyes. I was almost hyperventillating when my hand failed to grab hold of that illusive list and the door to the chamber of sexual predator suddenly swung open to reveal instead a grumpy old man emerging in a rush. He paused to trow me an inviti smile before he dashed on out. I heaved a sigh of relief. That had not been Brett's office.

"Sherry?" came a quiet deep voice behind me. Instantly, shivers ran up my spine. I braced myself before fixing a firm smile in place, I turned to face him.
