He was too close for comfort, so I did the only thing I could. I took a step back and glared up at him. I knew straight off that my little manuver had no impact what so ever for all he did was grin at me before gesturing to the seat before his desk.
" Come take a seat. I am glad you could take the time to visit me. I truly appreciate your coming over to discuss this. Are you sure you don't want anything to drink? I could get you something," he offered with yet another one of his mind bogling glorious smirk. I started to automatically shake my head in negative but then caught myself just in time.
"Yes, I think I will have someting, a glass of water if you please," I said with what I hope was business like efficiency and not urgency of the more desprate kind. I need a breather some away time, away from him that is, just enough to gain some perspective so that I don't land up talking rots with him or worse still agreeing to give him the damn house for free. But the sneaky bastard had a counter manuver for even that for all he did was press a button and a female voice rang through, Leanne probably. He gave specific instructions for my water using more words then was necessary to convey the message. The guy really was an out and out flirt.
"So...," I said determined to get the ball rolling and my ass out of there pronto. But all he did was lean back in his chair, swing both arms up to cup the back of his head as he looked on at me waiting patiently for me to continue. I got caught up in his blue gaze and lost my train of thought. I know not just how long I sat there staring at him and he at I probably wondering over the state of my mental faculty but I thank the gods for efficient Leanne for she sailed through the door holding out my glass of water like it was the a triumphant trophy of sorts and it was to me at least, an accomplishment in its own rights for she she managed to break my gaze free from Bretts, that I was sure nothing short of a crowbar could pry away but she managed it with a mere glass of water that she laid before me in flourish.
I grabbed for the glass and brought it to my suddenly parched lips. I took great awkward gulps then almost choked on it.
"Are you all right?" came his concerned question turning my already awkward pink face an unflattering scarlet.
