CHAPTER EIGHT

Alicia's POV

As much as I love this house, I can't wait for us to be one giant family again. This house was perfect for us when we bought it, but with Cherry and Lily and B, and LynZ having another one, Frank, Jamia, LynZ and Gee had to move out for more space. Things would have been so much easier when everything went down between Ray and Christa if everyone could have been together. But the past is the past and all is forgiven.

Today Jamia and I are going to meet with the real estate agent to talk about market value on this house and all the business stuff that needs to be taken care of. The guys are going into the studio to record a new track they've been working on at home, and LynZ is taking the girls shopping for some new shoes. I shook my head at the thought of LynZ wanting to take those three girls shopping all on her own.

After finishing up with the agent, we got in the car and Jamia looked at me. "Can I tell you something?" she asked. "Of course!" "You can't tell anyone yet. Not even Frank knows." I nodded, starting to wonder what she's talking about. I looked at her expectantly. She took a deep breath. "I pregnant again!" she squealed. "Oh my god!" I cried, hugging her. We did a little bounce up and down in our embrace and broke apart. "Congratulations!" I said. "Thank you!" she replied, happily brushing her hair behind her ears. "I'm going to tell Frank later." "He's going to be so excited!" "I hope so." "You know he will be! How far along are you?" "I not really sure, definitely not as far as LynZ though. I'm going to make a doctor's appointment after I tell Frankie." "God I'm so happy for you!" Jamia just smiled. "I wanted you to know first. But I also want to ask you something." "Mmhhmm?" "Are you ever going to try for another baby?" she asked softly. Her question shocked me a little. No one has ever wondered if I want to have a baby after what happened with Braden. I paused for a minute before answering. "I think eventually. There's just so much going on right now, everything that happened with Christa and Sasha, and moving, and you and LynZ having babies again." She thought about my answer for a moment. "No matter what, we'll always be busy. There will always be something going on. Don't let LynZ and I having babies affect your decision. We're a family, and we will handle however many kids there are. None of us are getting any younger, and I'm sure Mikey still wants to be a daddy." For some unknown reason, her words shook me to the core. I felt tears well up in my eyes and one silently rolled down my cheek. "Alicia! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to make you cry!" she nearly shouted, wrapping me in a hug. "No, it isn't you. It's just that.. well I haven't really considered Mikey's feelings about a baby. I think it's something we need to talk about." "I think so too." "Thank you Jamia. You really know how to make things better." She smiled. "I didn't do anything. I was honestly curious."

She always seems to know how to give me something to think about and be a great friend, I thought as we drove home. Mikey and I definitely have something to talk about tonight.

Hey guys! So I posted this and realized I forgot my authors note! I know you don't want excuses, and I know this infrequent updating is becoming outragious. I'm working on it. Thanks for staying patient with me.
