Crossfire -Gaster!Sans x Reader

Chapter 11 -Nightmares

I have been getting a feeling of someone watching me. Well, what else do you expect when your in the woods. Most of the other obstacles are very easy. I think deep down inside Papyrus doesn't want me to get hurt. 

I see a sign that says "Snowdin". Its painted with red and blue. The village itself is really small, but the monsters make it look really nice. There are a few shops, even an inn. My HP is low from fighting all of those monsters back in the woods. I can't believe I managed to survive. 

When I walk into the inn, a cheerful looking bunny is waiting for a customer behind the counter. Maybe I should go somewhere else.. 

"hello! Welcome to Snowdin Inn! Would you like to stay the night?" too late for that. I nod my head and stay silent. I don't know why i'm so shy around monsters. "That will be 80g" my mouths drops. 80g?! 

I really need a place to rest.. but I don't have enough gold on me.. I walk out the door and see a restaurant named Grillbyz. I go in and spot Sans sitting in a chair by the bar.

A fire man and some doggos greet me. I wave and sit in an empty booth by myself. What am I gonna do now? I have no place to stay. 

If I stay here any longer, Sans might hurt me. Back in the woods, he would hesitate to hurt me. I wouldn't blame him. 'Y/N, you need to make up a plan.'

By the time I look back up from my seat, some monsters stare at me. I bring my knees to my chest and hide my face. This kinda reminds me of when I was little. Another flashback came in my mind. 

Why does this happen? 

"What are you doing here, dove?~" Sans sits next to me, he's smoking a cigarette. 

"I have no where to stay for the night..." I whisper. He smirks and blows smoke in my face, making me cough. 

"You can stay with us dove." He offers. I can't go to his house! But I do need a place to stay.... What if he does something?!... I'll just have to take the chance. 

I nod at him. He motions to the door. Sans opens it and we both walk out of Grillbyz. 

While we're walking, he keeps looking at me. And when I see him doing it, he quickly looks somewhere else. I see a house. It must be Sans' and Papyrus'. All of a sudden, Papyrus runs outside.

"SANS! HUMAN?! WHAT IS THE HUMAN DOING HERE?" Papyrus asks. I notice that he's wearing race car pajamas. 

"Paps, Is it okay if the human spends the night?" Sans asks Papyrus. 

"OF COARSE!" He cheers, runs back into the house, and gets the couch ready for me to sleep on. Me and Sans follow Papyrus into the house. There's a kitchen, with a really high sink, a green couch and TV, also a table with a rock on it. 

I sit on the couch. Papyrus walks down the stairs, holding some blankets and pillows. He sets them neatly out for me. "Thank you.." I say to him. Him and Sans nod. Papyrus turn the light off and goes back to him room. 

Sans is still there. His eye socket lights up yellow in the dark "Sweet Dreams, dove." He then leaves as well to his room. I lay on the couch, feeling the warm blankets sink me into a deep sleep.

                                                                       ~Dream~ 

I was walking home from school when I heard gun fires, shattered glass, bombs exploding, screaming, and yelling. I saw injured people, some dead. Their corpses lay motionless on the ground. I ran home, not looking back. The door was wide open. I carefully walked into the living room, tears forming in my eyes. My family was dead. Blood was noticeable on the floor. I fell to the ground, filled with anger and sadness.

Everything was black. Papyrus, Undyne, Sans, Alphys, Toriel, Frisk... Rose.... All the memories came back to me.

I shot up from the couch.  the last thing that happened was that I was running from Sans and fell into the huge hole. But monsters have already escaped, why are they down here? 

I'm so confused, scared, and angry. Did something happen..? I don't understand..

I run up to Sans' room, pounding on the door. He opens it, looking annoyed. I hug him. He tries to struggle but I don't let him. "Did you have a bad dream, dove?" Sans looks at me. 

"Don't call me that. Call me Y/N." I reply. 

"So you remember?" He asks me. I look at him and nod.

"I thought monsters were free from the underground... why are they still here..?" I don't know what to do right now.

"It's time we talk about some things, dove" He smirks.
