Chapter 4 -Into the Past

If you all are confused why this has been updated, I am going to edit some chapters, But don't worry, nothing important will be changed.

Sans has been ignoring me, It really bothers me. Papyrus is upset because he didn't know his brother was lying to his about hurting humans.

Things are going okay with Rose too, we're really good friends now. While walking down the now silent halls, I feel all of the monsters eyes staring at me.

When Toriel found out about Rose a little while ago, she got angry at Sans because he kept from her, even his brother. 

"Y/N?" Rose waves her hand in front of my face, trying to get my attention. I snap back to reality and turn to look at her.

Rose is really nice and caring, kind of like Toriel. I still ponder why she was treated horribly by monsters, did she do anything?

"Hm?" I ask. 

"What was your life before you came here?" Rose pauses for a split second. "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to!" She said nervously. 

"No, it's alright." I sigh deeply, steadying my composure.

"When the war started, me and my family were separated. I was walking home that very exact day. I could hear gun fires, bombs, and yelling. I knew something bad was going to happen so I ran home. People were pushing me, trying to scramble away. I saw dead bodies, blood, and injured citizens. I finally got home, the door was wide open. I went inside and saw my family dead on the floor, covered in blood....." I pause and hear whispers in my mind. 

"After that, I fled. But the monsters wouldn't let people leave, so I had to fend for myself. I found a weapon and used it to survive." I then finish and look at her. Rose had tears in her eyes and hugged me.

I hugged her and pat her back. "I am so sorry.." She whispered.

What I didn't know was that someone was listening to our conversation, the whole time.

The Next day~

Papyrus is changing his mood. Mostly instead of his happy and bubbly personality, he's becoming a little grumpy. And Sans has stayed the way he is, but something's happening between the two.

Rose tries to help Toriel in the infirmary as best as she can. I just sit in me and Rose's room and sulk, staring at the walls. 

The thoughts of my family come back into my mind. Why can't they go away!?

I decide to go walk around the halls for a bit.I walk to the door and open it. Down the hall I see a fish lady holding a spear. Out of panic I hide back in my room. I peek out to see if the coast is clear and start wondering around. 

When I turn the corner I see a male with black cat ears and a black tail. He kinda looks like a neko! And might be my age too..

His eyes look at my body from head to toe. I just ignore him and keep walking but I'm being followed by the curious cat. 

"Where do you think your going?~" he teases and pins me to a wall.I struggle to get out of his grasp and bite on his arm, he finally lets go and rubs his arm. Sans walks down the hall with a poker face.

"Leave the girl alone, Shadow." Sans growls. Shadow smirks and goes down the hallway, leaving me and Sans alone.

"Till next time~" shadow turns and waves.I roll my eyes and look at Sans.

"Thanks for that" I say to him. He nods and walks down the hall with out saying anything else.What is up with that guy? Sans looks like he didn't get the happy meal toy he wanted. I giggle as he turns back around. 

"What's so funny?" Sans puts his hands on his hips, looking all sassy.

"Uh... nothing!" I run past him and dash into my room, slamming the door and locking it too.I might have been a goner there!

I feel like someone else is in the room with me, did Rose already come back?

"Rose...?" I call out. Red eyes glow in the dark. It's definitely not Rose for sure.

"Hello Y/N, I have a deal for you." They say. I nod and wait to hear about what they want to make to deal with me about.

"What if you could save humanity from monsters? With your determination and my power, we'll become unstoppable." The figure looks at me waiting for an answer. I don't want to hurt anyone..

"Can I have some time to think?" I don't know about this, it might be something bad, that involves hurting my friends.

"Of course! Take your time. But use it wisely.." the lights flicker and they're gone.

Rose bangs on the door. "Y/N! are you there?" She says outside the door. I open it for her and she looks exhausted from working.Before I know it, shes out like a light on her bed. I decide to go to sleep as well and lay down.

I stare at the ceiling. Before I fall asleep, I hear a voice say to me

"Goodnight Y/N.."
