Crossfire -Gaster!Sans x Reader

Chapter 26

Gaster's POV

Rose stopped struggling, all Gaster heard was the alarm going off, in the somewhat lonely lab. Did something happen? Did she really leave through the portal? He saw the light coming from the portal turn off, and the alarm stopped. 

Gaster called upon guards from the castle to break down the door.

He was anxious to know where she is.

 After they broke off the metal handles and busted the door open, his first instinct was to run inside. No one was there, just the portal destroyed into bits and pieces. He felt anger. Mostly at himself, and at Rose. 

She's gone. 

"No she isn't!" He yelled at himself. The two guards from before took a step backwards. Gaster turned around, and pointed to the door silently. The two guards bowed and walked out, leaving Gaster alone.

~Back to Rose~ 

"Experiment..?" She whispered. It's not like she hasn't been a guinea pig already. this scientist gave off an eerie vibe, but she's felt this feeling before. 

"Yes Human, did you not hear what I said?" She retorted. Rose was into thought, remembering what happened.

"I heard what you said. And please, call me Rose.." She mumbled the last part. 

"Alright. Now, if you don't mind me asking, how exactly did you get here?" Alphys asks. Rose looked down and shook her head, not wanting to remember. 

Alphys sighed, this is going to be harder than she thought.

Rose looked closely around the room she was in.

 It reminded her of Gaster's lab almost.

Hopefully, Rose will find a way to get out of here.

A few weeks have passed, Rose met other monsters. Some she's seen before, but when she asks them if they know her, they don't recall a thing. There are two brothers, Sans and Papyrus. When she met them, she almost got hurt, but Alphys yelled at them.

She's already seen Snowdin before, but wants to see what it looks like after all those years. It's definitely not what she expected. Everyone looks gloomy, with an evil grin plastered on their faces. She had to wear chains, or else someone would suspect something. 

"What happened to this place.." She felt a tear run down her cheek. Out of all these places, why would she feel like this. 

"Oh hush up." Sans said, not caring if her sounded cold towards the girl. Rose whimpered when she felt a tug on her arm. 

"Sans, your drawing unwanted attention!" Papyrus whispers, taking Sans' hand off of her arm. 

Maybe Papyrus has some kindness in his hardhearted self.

Rose keeps walking, trying to tune out their arguing. Her hair has grown longer, and was a dark crimson color. Two monster children laugh, pushing each other playfully. 

She wish she had her friends.

More weeks, Rose thought, counting the days and months she's been away from him. She still felt bad, guilty. What if Gaster gave up on her? 

No, he wouldn't do such a thing....

Would he...?

"Hey Human! Come down here!" Sans called from downstairs, gripping onto the railing. Rose stepped out, shaking. 

She wasn't scared of Sans. 

No, she was scared that she would never get home. 

"Yes..?" She asked politely, trying not to anger the short tempered skeleton. 

"I'm not going to hurt ya. There's some people for you to meet." Rose looked over the top of the stairs, and saw monsters she's never meet before. 

Rose meet Undyne, who is apart of the Royal guard, from what Rose heard. Undyne's first impression on Rose was well..... Interesting alright. 

Then came Toriel, Asgore, Grillby, and so many others.

"Your special, that's why we're not taking your soul." Alphys told her. 

"Special..?" Rose tilted her head. 

"Yes Hum- Erm, I mean Rose." 

Rose nodded, looking down. 

'This reminds me so much of his lab I can't look without tearing up..' 

Rose wants to go home. Yes, she likes it here... But she wishes she could apologize, for everything. 

~Gaster~

Gaster tried fixing the machine, and successfully got it working. He was overjoyed.

He was finally going to get Rose back.

What would he say?

It didn't matter now, all he need to do was get her back. 

~End of Flashback~

"Why are you showing me this!?" Rose screamed, shaking her head. Chara giggled at how much she was struggling not to cry. 

"Stop it!" 

"Then cave in already! No one's going to be your knight in shining armor and swoop you off your feet. You have no one." Chara said, wiping tears from Rose's face. 

"Please.... Don't you have a little mercy to spare me..? what did I ever do to you.....?" 

"Oh dear, don't be such a crybaby!" 

"I don't understand why I was even here... I shouldn't have been created... I miss my family, friends." Rose steps up, rubbing her eyes and stumbling over to chara. 

"I'm sorry I failed you all."

So sorry for Author chan being away for awhile, there's some drama in school and there is soooo much homework! stay tuned for next time!
