Chapter 24

I open my eyes half asleep, stretching my arms out. It's still dark outside, and I can't seem to go to sleep. I tiptoe out of the house and sit down on the cold stairs. 

I place my arms on my chest and cross them together trying to find some warmth, and look up, seeing stars scattered across the underground's night sky. I hear an eerie silence in Snowdin. It's nice, being able to relax.. The front door opens, I stare back at the one who woke up and see Midnight. 

"Hey Y/N...? What are you doing out here?" She sits next to be, her messy hair falling in front of her face. She rests her head upon my shoulder and shivers slightly. 

"I couldn't go to sleep...... How about you?" The bushes rustle around the house, I hesitate before continuing looking back at the sky. 

"Rose kept mumbling in her sleep... it almost sounded like she was terrified...." She whispers. I pat her head and point to a dark figure in the woods. 

"Do you see that...?" I ask. Midnight nods and bares her teeth. 

"They don't look friendly...." She growls. I grab her arm and stand up, feeling unsure if we should stay out longer. 

"Come on, let's go inside..." Midnight reluctantly goes inside. Rose is laying down on the couch, her body in an awkward position. 

'She must be having a nightmare...' 

~Rose's dream~

It was so dark, I couldn't make out the figure that was in the room with me. "Hello Rose." Chara's voice spoke. 

"What do you want?" I said, a little sass in my tone. The room is irradiated, showing their sadistic smile. I try to move my arms but to no avail, their are chains covering my wrists. 

"You better watch what comes out of your mouth." 

"You don't sound very intimidating, to be honest." 

"You haven't even witnessed what I'm going to do!" Chara grabs their knife, getting slightly irritated. "You can be such a pain. Such a shame, I thought you would be better." They leave a clean cut across my arm, and smile at their action. 

"You're sick!" I try not to whimper.

"Thanks, you flatter me." Their knife pierces through my skin. I let out a scream before feeling dizzy and blackout. 

Chara giggles and stares at Rose, who's passed out from blood loss and looks terrified. "See you later Rose~"

~Rose's POV~

I open up my eyes and drop a sharp knife. I let out a scream and clutch my arm. Y/n and Midnight rush in, both of them looking at the knife, then at me. 

"What happened to you!?" Y/n yells. 

"Shhhh guys.. We might wake up Papyrus...!" Papyrus stomps downstairs into the kitchen. 

"WHAT IS SO IMPORTANT THAT YO HAD TO WAKE ME UP!?" He notices my arm and quickly runs upstairs. A few minutes later he comes with some bandages. "Rose, sit down." He said softly, trying to clean up my wounds. 

"Papyrus, we're really sorry for waking you up...." Y/n apologizes, looking down. 

"JUST DON'T DO IT AGAIN." 

"Don't worry, we won't!" Midnight laughs. 

'What an eventful night.'
