Chapter 27- Doubt

It was so dark, at least for Rose. She started forgetting.

'Why am I here?' She pondered, taking a deep breathe.

It was hitched, somehow telling her things weren't alright. Everything she has done, she felt as if it was something small and frail, like it didn't mater anymore.

'You let Chara take control, because you couldn't deny the things they said to you!'

And the worst part was.... they were true.

I guess this is the feeling of despair?

"Wherever there is hope, there is most definitely despair." (Comment if you know this reference :3) I spoke softly.

Roses, red roses cover my sight.

'Their so beautiful and fragile....'

"Ah, Aren't roses just amazing?" Chara said, standing next to me, smiling.

"Why bring me here?"

"I brought you here so you could see something beautiful before you die."

"Wait, what!?"

'Before I die..? Is that really my fate?'

"Of coarse it is!" They seemed to hear me.

"Was I thinking out loud?"

"Yes, you most definitely were." They giggled, feeling humor toward my confusion.

"What's so funny?" I retorted.

"What's funny? It's funny that you don't even understand, for a mere human like yourself." They replied, giggling afterwards yet again.

"That's insulting."

"Isn't that obvious?" They said, rolling their eyes.

"Are you calling me ignorant?"

"Pretty much, yes." I growl and control my anger, not wanting to cause a bigger conflict.

"So.... What do you do for fun..?" I start trying a conversation.

"Why do you ask?"

"I'm just trying to start a conversation here!" I yell, crossing my arms.

"Alright, alright, you don't have to get snappy with me."

"Me? Snappy? I don't know what your talking about." I glare at them. They smile and their eyes flash red.

"Whatever. But.. If you really want to know, I do like genocide." (I'm sure they have other things that they like..)

"That sounds revolting!"

"Oh why thank you!"

'Well that was expected of them.'

"Was it now?" They ask.

"Yes, actually, it was. Just like I know your insane." Chara smiled, Leaning against my shoulder.

"First you call me sick, now Insane? Make up your mind Rose!"

"I am very certain about my opinion on you."

'This conversation is going nowhere.'

"I agree." They fake yawned, getting bored.

"I'm not going to even say anything anymore, It'll cause more of an argument than it already is." They turn their head, looking at me.

"Aren't you tired? Not even a little bit?"

"Why the sudden concern?"

"I don't want you dying just yet!" They said, looking away.

"Okay.." I laid in the pool of roses, feeling my eyes getting heavier.

-Gaster Sans-

"Sometimes, I like to stop and ask myself, 'Why am I still here...?' " Sans said, sighing.

"That was really deep ya'know, I've never heard something like that come out of your mouth..." A familiar voice said.

"What do you want, Flowey?" Sans hissed, looking over to the flower.

"I just wanted to see how things are going, that's all." His normal, sadistic expression was still there.

"Sure..." He said, not believing what flowey said. Sans turns to the echo flowers, hearing small whispers.

"Geez, not all of my intentions are bad!"

"I know, but i don't care really." Sans said half heartedly.

"I wouldn't be talking to me like that if I were you..." Flowey clenched his teeth, getting irritated with Sans.

"Yeah, okay. " Sans tried best to ignore the tempered flower standing next to him.

"Are you even listening to me!?" Flowey notices Sans looking away from him, focusing on other things.

"Nope." He said, looking back over to flowey and seeing a frown on his face.
"What's with the sudden frown?" Sans asks.

"Why should I tell you?" Flowey growls.

"I didn't say you had to."

"Your the one that asked!"

Sans?" Shadow called out. Flowey quickly disappeared as Shadow made his way over to Sans.

"Hm?"

"Is there anyone else here.. Or are you talking to yourself..?" His ears went down as he growled deeply.

"Nah, I was talkin to myself."

"Okay weirdo." He Giggled. Sans playfully punched Shadow as he grabbed out a cigarette.

"Y know, those aren't good for ya." Shadow reminded Sans before he lit the cigarette between his teeth.

"I know, but it relieves stress."

"Do you.... ever think we'll find Y/N?"

"I'm not sure Shadow. I wish Alphys knew how to get the portal working again..." Sans said, stuffing his hands into his pocket.

"anyways, wanna go to Grillbyz with me?" Shadow asked, his stomach growling.

"Sure." Sans stood up and caught up with Shadow, who was already walking away.

It was close to dark in Snowdin, both Y/N and Midnight were walking to the Skelebro's house from Hotland.

"It's so cold!" Midnight crossed her arms and rubbed them, breathing out cold air.

Being in Snowdin wasn't the best idea right now, especially at night. They had to change clothes and accidently left their bag back at the house.

"Do you.. feel like your being watched..?" Y/N whispers to Midnight.
They herd rustling in the bushes and screeched when they saw greater dog.

"Greater dog?" Y/N questioned. They tilted their head and started growling. Y/N went closer to pet them but soon stopped after they raised their weapon.

"Run!!" Midnight grabbed Y/N's hand before she could say anything, she was being dragged behind. Greater ran after them and kept their spear up.

"We can't run for-" Y/N felt Papyrus' armour and looked up to see him standing their, furious.

"WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN!?"

"Right now wouldn't be the time to explaining!" Midnight ran inside, letting go of Y/N's hand.

Greater dog saw Papyrus about to loose his mind and stepped back.

'We're screwed..'
