"I told you no over the phone," I tell him. "How's this any different? The answer is still the same, Tyler."

"Yeah, but try and say it to this face." He draws a circle, gesturing to said face.

I lean against the door frame and shake my head. "It doesn't work on me and you already knew that."

"Okay, true," he says. "But I haven't exhausted it today. Please just come with us. It'll be fun."

I shake my head again. "Not gonna happen. I don't want to spend my day off in Game Stop out of all the places. There's nothing for me in there."

Tyler tilts his head to the side, a strand of blue hair falling in his face. "Hey, I'll be in Game Stop. So yes, there will be something for you there."

I roll my eyes, but he is right unfortunately.

"How can you say no to this handsome face? You're like the only person immune to it. This is bullshit," he exaggerates.

A grin makes its way onto my lips. "Sucks to be you."

"No, it sucks to be you. You don't know what you're missing out on. A day full of fun and witty remarks from yours truly." He places a hand over his heart. "You'd rather be cramped in this apartment all day instead of going on a video game buying spree?"

"The more you talk about it, the better this apartment sounds." I smile sarcastically.

Tyler leans his face in closer to mine, stopping just inches away. I look at him dully and he widens his eyes just a bit. I see the sparks of gold wrapping around his pupil. It flares into the vibrant blue depths and I feel stuck.

No.

This is not working. I want to tell him to stop, but I can't find my words.

When he smiles, he realizes the victory. "Man, so it does work, doesn't it?"

"Just go already!" I hear Ella shout.

I swallow the lump in my throat and step back. I have to blink several times to regain my focus. "You suck. I hope you know that."

"I'm so freaking wounded, Mags," he says sarcastically. "Let's go." And then he takes my hand, dragging me out of my apartment. I'm glad I had shoes on already and I got a hold of the door to shut it.

We move down the stairs, but Tyler's feet take him quicker and he still has my hand tight in his. The guys were already waiting in the van and Tyler and I hop in. We haven't even started moving and I regret this already. But Tyler's stupid cute face has to ruin everything. It's too difficult to say no to him.

When we get to the mall, Tyler grips my hand again and we're the first inside. "Tyler!" I yell. "Slow down before you yank my arm out of its socket!"

Tyler only slows a little bit and the rest of the band is already lost behind us. I know they'll find us in the store later.

Inside of Game Stop, I see Tyler race towards the PlayStation 4 section. "They actually have it, holy shit." He picks up a game that's red and has a giant eye in the center.

I look around his shoulder and scrunch up my face. "That looks disgusting and terrifying."

"That's the point!" He says excitedly.
